My first post here. Haven't taken many 30min trades because been working on higher tf strategy.

EURUSD took on break of mid week lo and used week lo as a target. It kept on going without me

if you missed all the pips from the US data, you can probably catch them all on the rebound. if you were lucky enough to catch both trends, i envy you SOOO much right now

WOW, had to go to bed, but definitely there will be rebound, might have to trade toward the 200 EMA on some of them WOW

GA has nice divergence on D1 but don't think it can dive down yet by looking at long wicked apbs up and down and MBL curling up where green and red are struggling to cross down, might be another ranging day until next month. Keep eyes on the turn...

Looking for signal @ X

- Europe Open
- 38 to 50% retracement
- 200 EMA bounce
- old support level, now resistance
- daily range top

but won't be that easy me thinks

but it dosent paints lines for me . may it because it needs to kernel.dll and dtosv3.dll for copy to libraries ?

Long time since I got that indy, don't see the kernel but there is dotvs.dll

* rename because not supported file type - change it back after download

AU has divergence and bouced off YL (long potential) , DOTS tok short triggered

I have been doing a lot of research on DOTS and they are really accurate on days with lots of movement but can be a disaster to follow on quiet days. The pairs with the biggest distance from sl to tp2 seem to perform the best.

Thanks for posting the DOTS indicator

Does the research include any filtering for trend like the 200 EMA suggested in this thread or purely looking at how price moves?

Also, are the different session opening times compared or just Europe open?

Hi Erebus, No I didn't use any filters and I only tested LO. I have just been running a blind test placing pending orders in both directions closing half the order at tp1 and moving sl to be and letting the 2nd half of the order run to tp or sl. And then looking at the trades to see what happened.

The results basically confirm the tms strategy, Trading away from DOL, weekly support/resistance, long above pac short below etc. I also found that the TDI from the higher TF filters out a lot of fake outs and gives a more accurate sense of direction. so far tp 1 got hit 81% tp2 73%, however tp 2 often gets smashed and the pips get cut short but you get very few losing trades if you moved to BE and take profit at target 1. Oh and quiet days are rubbish busy days good.

I will post my results in a separate thread when I have more data.
