i see that some of you use statistics and machine learning to predict future movement. how long is your observation or 'learning' period? so how far back do you look to find patterns?

I made 0.03% in this week testing three pair correlation strategy. I got 0.03% but my broker got 0.3% (10 times more) in spread.
Now have to study for months what made this profit

I dont want to be a prophet but GU consolidating @ weekly level,..... EU, UJ and GJ monthly levels as well... think fun is over and market just preparing for tomorrow.. Only GU weekly seems is not gonna hold...just m15 chart now, but start is start...h1

Logically there should be no profit or loss except for the spread and price arbitrage that lasts for less than a second. This profit seems to be related to buying or selling equal number of lots on three different pairs having different pip value in dollar terms. Let me see if I can find something in it that can be combined with some other strategy to make a use of this method.

GU has its closest monthly at 5346. Would be suitable setup for tomorrow.

It depends how seriously you research and learn.
There is a lot of non-sense to learn before you get an idea what these people talk about.
If you allocate 2 hours a session for reading and learning on sites like babypips, 2 hours to watch pa and another 2 hours to come to this thread and read all that we write, would mean one week of 3 days 2 hours each. At this speed, it will take about 2 years to learn some of the bullshit that we know.
You don't have to go back more than few years to get an idea how this market works. Take one pair first and start from weekly chart, then zoom in on Daily, then 4 hours, and then 1h or lower. Leave charts below 5M for Gator.

The weird thing is i have been so accurate and profitable, and have my trade decisions constantly on show to people here on forex factory... Those die hard believers of my trading can follow and make money as long as they know how to calculate how much im risking...
50k usd= 2 lots on 1:50 leverage is the standard i go for....
I dont go crazy overtrading the account. But that works for me in being profitable so far...
Sadly, too many people here think they know better.
I admit i have a brash personality but that comes from the amount of grind i have to face at my job working as a sales trader.... You have to be hungry, in forex, not everybody wins, just be glad you could get on a winning train and stick to it... Too many traderd here are to focused on making friends on a digital forum, ending up not learning anything....
