It's fine, thanks for the calming words.

I have been taking profit at levels, some I missed and what not and that kind of makes me question whether I should have just let it run and moved my SL up.

That gave me itchy fingers to get back in, so far resisted but am waiting for a decent size pull back to get back in. Not really comfortable with these shallow dips and the low market liquidity.

My biggest rookie issue is my patience. I was wanting a breakout over night so I put an entry point 118.9. It hit right after I went to bed and down it went. It came back up right before news. I wasn't sure on the move and how much to take so i\I jumped out early then back in and out and in and out (Aahhhh!) It seems everything I'm earning I end up nickel and diming away into losses. Any suggestions guys?

The hardest thing I am learning is that sometimes, having positions open/orders set while you're sleeping is not a good idea. I can tell you that if a trade is going against me, and I decide to keep it open through the night, I don't get any sleep. None the less, it keeps going against me and I get stopped out. I am highly considering switching to just day trading. With the nickel and diming, it happens. If you aren't sure of which way it's going to go, just put in a micro lot and then if it goes against you, close out, and go all in. If it goes in the direction you originally thought, then you're good to go, and you can add more. It helps to have some confirmation. You should identify your trend, use your trend tools(I like the fibonaccci retracement) and stick with it. I believe the saying goes, plan your trade and trade your plan.

Thanks for the advice. Agreed, I am learning I don't sleep well when I leave things open also. What are the best chart to trade from for more short term intraday trading? And with the Fib tool, on the swings, which chart is best for relevant levels? Sorry if I sound super new to this, I am

No worries! For the fibs, I have been using the 1 hour for long term price projection. To monitor PA I like watching the 5 minute chart. Right now, if you look at the 5 min, you will see that we were in consolication, and now we have broken out to the south. This is largely in part to the fact that the D extension on the one hour was fulfilled at 119.11. We are now in a New AB boundary, and the market is on it's way to find the new C. I will monitor both the 5 minute and the 1 hour for the next several hours to see where we will find the next support levels. Once the C has been made, then you can get a good entry point and ride it up to the D extension.
