this is mainly a JPY move, in the long term i think USDJPY would be a much better position trade. like ottmnslap, the GBP is in trouble and it doesn't look particularly strong technically either.

Well that ride certainly took a number of years off my life. Looks like we may have capped things in the short term. UJ at 114 and GJ and 182.5. Expecting weakness into NFP. Maybe led by USD pullback.

Hmm, that weakness lasted all of about 5 minutes. Every bone in my body is telling me to short this thing which means without a doubt that it's going up. 187 anyone?

As shown on the chart below, there is an uptrend which price is going along with on the H4 TF and currently it is moving within a congestion area. Breaking 184.40 could open the way for it to go downward.

Correction [iv] might not have finished - still in the middle of a complex running (flat) correction, the extremity of wave (c) down is yet to come.

Of course we can go down to this area. As later in a year .. as clearer the trend is . But the last days we have seen markets getting sloppy . It is the time to have a rest and come back from middle or end of january. I m sure new oportunities will be then more clean and clear visible.

Weekly chart, so for the longer term trader. Not a perfect H&S formation, but seems quite compelling. A break from current levels could be very bearish for the pair.
