One has to ask oneself "Which of these 2 Dogs has the least fleas?" to prarphrase Gordon Gekko.

In the Red Corner we have the ailing Euro which having fallen significantly is looking even weaker on a fundamental level with the ECB needing to reassess their approach to rates/stimulation.

And in the Blue Corner we have the Dollar which having run up on a hope of early interest rises has poor data coming in with a Fed talking very Dovish about rates even though supposedly stimulation is drawing to a close (tapering?)

Next stop 1.22 on the Euro?


Added as an afterthought. In all this uncertaintly I've got my short Euros Hedged against Long Swiss Francs

In my experience its easier to get a feel for trend turning points if you focus on fundamental shifts in what was driving the original trend. If you look back to the May highs in EUR, the turn coincided with a material sentiment shift on the Euro when Draghi said the ECB was comfortable acting.

this time around I've been waiting for a USD sentiment shift. It seems to be coming on in stages over the last 10 days or so,starting with the Dovish fed minutes, plunging oil and stocks, and today's marked deterioration in US data. Sentiment on the Dollar is turning, at least enough for big long positions to be cleaned out. Once sentiment in the USD stabilizes you can get long again

Having been hit, and stopped out, by the sh*t US figures, I'm still waiting for the sell opportunity.

Monday kind of ruined this week, same who sold on thin market now buy that back with before it news info.

All human systems are gamed.

Now, every holiday monday should stay awake forthcoming night.

First possible sell point is at 1.2755 not best though.
They think they are smarter than I am.

will not sell here and now..... if you see daily chart probably 1.2500 is the point of reversal for the downtrend.... imho... i am long and put SL to break event for now...
