Hi Bappa and all the forum.
I am trying to install THV, but long time (and a lot of MT versions) has passed since last time I installed an expert and it is difficult for me.
I hava Oanda MT4, a pre-release version (as the official one was not working on my pc), it is build 628.
Questions:
1_which one is the last THV version?
2_where do I find last version of the files (and possibly of the manual?)
3_does it contain everything needed to setup the chart as in bappafx pic?

thanks a lot

{quote} does anybody know how to make a script on the following condition stated above. it seems this is the only way to make the thv infopanel back to work. by having a script that check the draw object as background. the program is easy if anybody knows how to make a script. here is the script that needs to be fullfilled for the thv infopanel back to work 1. Right click on the chart. 2. Select the Object List. 3. Find the Labels named ZTHVinfo_Pxx where xx is from 10 to 34. 4. Select a Label and click Edit. 5. Check "Draw object as background"...

Hi All,

Where can I get some more info on Trix in terms of what the indicator is....moving average wise???....a while ago someone pointed me to a version of the Trix indicator where you could see set the value for slow and fast trix, effectively being able to display Trix on a 5min chart, say for the 30min by multiplying the value by 6

Any ideas?

Haggis,
It looks like you got it figured out....like you answered your own question? I'm not sure if you mean "how do I code this", or ...??? WIth some platforms you can
apply the "plot" aka the "indicator" to a different time frame, by some means that is specific to that platform....(you'd have to ask them, but often it's a simple
process of changing chart settings or applying a new 'instrument' which does the carry over)...but the point is that you can apply one time frame's indicator onto
a different time frame's chart.

Or, as you said, you can likely just multiply the smaller time frame's indicator by the appropriate amount of time to get the larger time frame's results.(divide to do it backwards...) as a makeshift sort of way of doing things.

Does this help you? I am new here actually, but not new to trading. Perhaps whoever is running this thread can answer you a bit better?

As of yet, I can't say I'm impressed with the courtesy of people on this forum. There may just be a lot of people? IDK...but for the most part people have just ignored me so far. I suppose I've been spoiled in my home forum? But I've found that forums seem to have a general 'tone' or attitude/custom as to how they work. (a long chain of how people treat each other... and I'm not sure about this place yet. We usually answer newcomers and welcome the information they bring with them. (not to be confused with taking it personally, just commenting on the weather

I see on your chart, that everyone has the same problem with the default Ichimoku indicator on the MT4 after the 60x update... It is still plotting Chikou span after the restart of the terminal no matter what. It really pisses me off.
Did anyone find any solution how to avoid this?
I did not find any solution and alternative Ichimoku indicators are unusable for our type of cloud.

I just found out a half solution how to evade this bug for those who want to keep their charts clean:
you have to edit your template file and charts files in profiles folder manualy in Metaeditor or notepad:
find out Ichimoku Kinko Hyo indicator in the text and change the color3 value to -1.
Save it. And until you re-save these files it should work fine.

Hi

I am not a technical person but the THV system is by far and away the best system I have come across. I currently use it with range bars with excellent results however I have a couple of issues. The first is that at low range bar values the metatrader platform freezes which means trading at peak times is a no-no. The second problem I have is that MT4 does not provide a huge amount of data so larger range bar charts are not possible. The only solution to both of these problems is to use different charting software but I do not have the THV indicators programmed in the correct language. As I say, I am not technical at all, I do not know how the indicators work, I only know that they do! Please could someone rewrite them in a different language for me? I am willing to pay for this service, alternatively can somebody explain how they are calculated or the logic behind them so that I can pay a programmer to do so.

I look forward to hearing from you guys!

Go to Ichimoku properties and change colors 0,1 and 4 to none. Then save and you should be good to go

will take a look on that, thanks

etipok:
unfortunately you will have to wait until someone of the THV team with the acces to the source code will show up here.
But anyway there was a strict policy here not to share the source code as many scammers over the internet tried to sell this free system.
Technicaly the coral is T3 60period with b= 0,4 and thv trix is T3 trix with 20 and 35 periods and b=1,2
But as I remember somebody here made version of THV indicators for Ninjatrader, which offers renko bars. You will have to go through attachments or use thread search tool. I hope I'm not wrong, so your spent time will be not useless

I just tried to run offline chart with range bars and put THV tempate on it. I got no freezing issues. I'm using the range bars script which I put in attachment. U can try it. But after 14 hours of running the script I didnt saw any advantage in comparison to the usual time based chart in THV trading.
The P/L ratio was about the same (actualy the range bars THV performed slightly worse).
So what is your secret?
