I like to play long term... and I dont really think its in Russia's or the West's best interest to escalate this situation, so I think that things will cool down soon enough, and risk on mode will resume...

and I agree with your retrace target at ~102.2, as you see here, but I dont see it going lower than that... at this stage...

...on a daily basis, I see higher highs going forward; this chart is a few days old, and was posted here, on March 5th

much of what happens to this pair has to do with the Yen rather than the USD, I have also been tracking Yen futures closely, last post was on Friday, here... I will update it tomorrow

It appears a near term top could be place on the USD/JPY. If 102.85 which is the nearest support holds on the other hand that is extremely bullish and we will look for a test of the 105 – 105.50 level.

Still looking down to me

Stopped and is stalling pretty close to first area of interest 102.95. Looks to be holding for now. If not then 102.67 is next.

if you really want to long the JPY, CAD/JPY short would make the most sense. Relative strength wise, the CAD is currently weaker than the Yen. Other wise, unless there are some risk off news/events in the near future, expect the Yen to weaken further, Usd/Jpy to reach new highs.

GDP #s came in lower than expectation. Although, this can be seen as bullish for the Yen, contrary can lead to more monetary easing by the BOJ adding to more Yen weakness.

Hello US/JPY

I am longs to 105+

I won't add anything to my longs


This one step up an two back

Is anybody buying at 103

Been caught to many times at the top

Think I will trade out off these longs

an change to taking shorts from above 105.5

Not sure about this 110 to 120 is that possible

Any world problems an YEN will hit the 100 for sure

placed sell stop at 103.09 waiting for the position to hit and make a 25 pip move down.

I wasnt watching GJ, I had a plan for UJ today but it is stale. Was looking for a small pop to 102.6.
