    The U.S. central bank should completely stop with its large scale asset purchases as soon as feasible, Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Richard Fisher said on Friday. "As soon as feasible, the Federal Reserve should stop large scale asset purchases entirely," Fisher said in a speech in Zurich. Fisher, who has a vote on the Fed's policy panel this year, is considered one of the most hawkish officials at the central bank.

I love the statement "The U.S. central bank should completely stop with its large scale asset purchases". What asset is Fisher talking about? The FED is not buying any asset it is creating $ out of thin air. These are not assets but debt that the US Government will never be able to repay unless the USD is devalued by hyperinflation on the same scale as it happened in Weimar Germany when the price of bread went from 1 Mark in 1919 to 100 billion Marks by 1923. I wish I could call this a currency traders' paradise unfortunately it would not be the case. We would all be billionaires living in the poor house!

Would be better to stop buying mortgages unless they are 20% down and income verified.

Nobody has reason to believe anything much from government data.

No, they are, the rounds of monthly QE are technically asset purchases, dyor and you'll see how it 'works'.
