Yes they are the tests, and you have to choose the best opportunity for going in. What wdays was talking about was going in as it goes through the line in which case it would have gone about 20 pips in his favour and then down again, while it retested, which isn't a very good way of doing it. It may have even been a false break in which case it would have been a loss, so I wait for it to retest, as it comes back to the line on a smaller timeframe look for the very best setup that shows its probably going back up, as it kept closing back above the line. If you then drop down to h1 there were 2 ways to play it, either the downward channel I've put on the below chart, or there is also a master candle in there, same result though.

I've edited the image because it didn't show very well what I mean, the first vertical line is where you would have gone in if you had gone in when the trendline broke, the second vertical line is where you go in after finding a good setup.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I still have some of that noob-vibe on me, which causes me to jump the gun when I see price move faster than it used to. Often times it ends bad... )) I will try waiting from now on..

Just a 123 breakout entry on the retest after the initiated move , didn't look at lower time frame, just took it on the H1 when pa started to move back into previous candles

Below is H1 and M15 , on M15 the retest is clearly visible, exit manually for + 53 pips

Bringing this baby back to life, because it would appear I feel the physical need to post my trades somewhere

New trade plan, new pair... trading away from channel, entering after price fails to go higher or lower... Locked b/e a few pips earlier than usual, because I don't like the market at all the past few weeks, especially this week with Ukraine being under the spotlight... Just may exit manually as this M15 candle closes with a 40% lower wick. 15 minutes til hourly close too, so still holding...
