well through good trade practice the demo account i use here has gained all back since #post 33 where i just left the pending orders I had set-up to run through NFP. My SB account is up over 70% in 2 months, which i'm really happy about. Someone asked me about my account growth targets, I actually don't have any. Well that's not true. As long as I get over 20% a year then I'm ok with that. I'd get about 3% or less in the bank and about 15-20% with a GOOD investment manager. Every year, if possible, I withdraw my profits and put them away somewhere safe. Update...


EU trade I showed in #post 39 is up some +130,

Aud/Jpy I posted above blitzed through the TP for +150

the Gbp/Nz sell trade posted above, the Gbp looked far to strong to have a serious bet on this, min bet on SB account and on this demo which I closed for a small loss. Yet It's still in the 'resistance' area and may still be forced back

My beloved A/Cad trade came back from +100 to stop me out at BE. will look to buy again.

I've moved the UJ to BE after it moved +50. may have moved it to early, but i feel this could move another 150pips against me before moving up (black line on above pic).....we'll see

My E/G sell failed to trigger, half a pip short

As you can see by my tracker my accounts got hit pretty hard on last weeks pullbacks. But the art of this game is not to panic. My entries, although early were good and importantly with long term established trends and hence the entries turned good.

One entry i Didn't do on the demo and did in my live spread bet account is the UJ I posted about in the pic in #post 41. I entered at 102.23 (close of Sundays candle, off monthly 20ma). And i'm back into my fave A/Cad again (i'm taking profit at just under 9800 for 170 pips as it appears we could be in a down trend within a bigger uptrend).

I was pm'd lately about scalping and intraday trades as i posted somewhere that i do take them. These are time driven, I don't always have the time to sit here and trade that way but when I have I do. I don't duplicate on the demo as i don't have the time. I anticipate a bounce off the ma's, I like to watch the trades so i'm prepared to exit quickly if required. I actually find it stressful and have to be in the right frame of mind. As i'm done trading today (except for pending orders)here's some pic's from my entries today. I don't like to post these here, this thread was for long term trading accountability, so i'll probably not do it again.

Trading is tough..

Just yesterday all looked rosey, after a red week last week, I was back up. All loosing trades turned positive and this demo was back to +40% (real account 70%). Today I switch it on and it's dropped again (mainly on Carney Gbp speach). I had the oppertunity to move SL to BE and move more into profit but greed got the better of me and I've been stopped out of my GJ bet for a loss. That's trading dailies for you.

I misjudge 2 entries...A/J missed it by 2 pips (would have moved 200pips in my favour) and I moved my A/Cad trade up to 96950, but it bouced straight off 97000......see how todays candle respected the downtrend trendline i drew #post 44

On day trades took +20 off EU, a nice +35 off AU (placed it before bed and moved to BE), +20 off G/Chf,

Note....As of Jan 30 I have no longer been using the GKFX MT4 demo platform. For some reason it became none responsive, charting was painfully slow and new orders or changes to pending orders were not getting through. So for this reason I have removed it.
