is it possible to add an alert on to this indicator.. alert when the indicator touches -6/6 levels.. Thank you in advance

fxdaytrader, this does not seem to be working. When CurrentPairOnly is set to False, it takes a snap of the chart it is attached to rather than that of the chart with the new order. Please take a look at it again when you are able to.

I know (the windowscrrenshotcommand can only save the current chart as I think). I think the email is important?
But no problem, set CurrentPairOnly=true and load the EA on different charts, then it is the same as before ...

I would like if someone could modify this EA tI want a signal alert for a Heiken AShi ,,,When HA body is bigger than certain percentage of the total range for that candle,,, then it's a possible trend candle,,the default percentage value would be 50%
Attached,, an example for this type of HA alert indicator,,,,,,,it is a Doji candle alert,,,HA candles with bodies less than certain percentage,,,the default value for that case is 10%.

the setfile does not help if the ea is not good/not adjusted, for example for 5(or other)-digit brokers/pairs, 2stage ordersend, etc.

in many of the eas/ea-mods I have posted in this thread here I implemented the (simple) function "OrderSend2Stage" and "BrokerDigitAdjust", you could use this eas as example and mod. your ea ...

edit: attached the ea with the digit-adjustment/2stage ordersend mods (only applied for tp/sl, not looked for trailingstops or other stuff, pls. adjust by yourself)
And what I do not understand - why can the ea only be used in the backtester and not eg on demo- or live-accounts? I changed that, set allowlivetrading=true to use the ea on demo or live-accs. also ...

edit2: And you should mention that the EA needs the custom indicator MTF_MACD_inColor.ex4 to be in experts/indicators/-folder

Here is the first backtest. Sorry for the backtest quality. Default settings with trailling stop of 40 pips and with only 8.26% of drawdown.

Your backtests are useless. But maybe a nice hobby, nothing more. And backtests with lower quality are crap ...
Attached the ea with magicnumber-support and check if the custom-indicator exists.

More public mods. I will not do for this ea ...

I agree with you, i think backtests are useless. That´s why i´ll give it a try with this EA and put it on a demo account

Hello all. Got a mql4 question for someone smarter than me. I am calling "AdaptiveLaguerreFilter" indi from an iCustom call in a trade management EA. Here is the call:

alf1 = iCustom(Symbol(), Exit_TF, "AdaptiveLaguerreFilter", 15, 5, 4, 0, 1);

I have Exit_TF = 240 from an external parameter.

I want to close the trade when Close[1] < alf1 (for a long trade) on the Exit_TF chart (240 in this case). Everything is ok as long as I stay on the 240 chart. If I scan through the lower TF charts and hit a timeframe where Close[1] < alf1 on the lower TF, the trade closes. Why doesn't iCustom compute AdaptiveLaguerreFilter on Exit_TF = 240 regardless of the timeframe of the chart that I happen to be on?

not sure, you could try the following:
edit the indicator and implement an external parameter "timeframe", change the iMA(-command inside and call this within the icustom (see indi attached)

example:

Hi,

It would be great if you could code the following EA/script that exits an already open trade under the following conditions:

· Existing long trade - exit at the close of the candle when:

1. Stochastic (8,3,3) is above 80 and,

2. Stochastic turns downward, ie prints a lower value at the close of a subsequent candle. It doesn’t matter whether this value is above or below 80, it must just be lower than the Stochastic value for the previous candle.

3. Exit trade at the close of the candle that meets these 2 criteria.


· Existing short trade – exit at close of candle when:

1. Stochastic (8,3,3) is below 20 and,

2. Stochastic turns upward, ie prints a higher value at the close of a subsequent candle. It doesn’t matter whether this value is above or below 20, it must just be higher than the Stochastic value for the previous candle.

3. Exit trade at the close of the candle that meets these 2 criteria.



Additional requirements:

Sound and pop-up alerts:

1) when Stochastic crosses over 20 or 80

2) when trade exit parameters are achieved and trade is closed

Don't know why I did not think of that. I have done that several times in the past. Getting too old for this stuff, I guess.
