I have been slacking on this log.

Found putting all the entries and exits on a drag. so last week i opened a demo account to duplicate some of my trade, not all as i don't always have time to enter with my spreadbetting account then open and replicate on the MT4 demo account. However I will when i can.

opened up this morning to see my EU trade come down to hit BE.

I'm a bit negative on the Aussie right now. AN and AU going well and have moved to BE.

Missed my EChf buy, but got ACad short - not on demo.

sometimes i wonder. price went through my TP and it didn't trigger..

I attached the demo account to give a representation of my real spread betting account (not MT4), it saves me from all the updating i was doing which eventual sickened me from keeping this journal updated. hopefully this will help me be more consistant here.

Note: some of the early december (1-9th) results were from an EA i was playing with, with disasterous results

what the hell it just happened again


I just checked my tradefair account and the AU bet closed for +87pips. the previous NzU trade (previous post) didn't close, missed by 0.5pip

it appears the failure of the closure on my MT4 platform of the two above bets (AU and NzU) has cost me a 'red' day

keeping an eye on the Au/Cad. Price is really starting to consolidate between 9512 and 9430. although the trend is down I believe this could be a turning point. If it is it'll be a chance to get in close to the bottom and possibly ride it some 700pips

5 days ago i posted above about the Au/Cad trade i was looking at (above post). I entered yesterday. I have decided to break the trade into 2 or 3 trades if price agrees. trade is currently +90pips, taking some profit, moving to BE and letting the rest run with a target of +170

two trades I was pissed off about yesterday and why i only use MT4 platforms for charting. Both trades opened on my Spreadbet account. both are now running to a big profit.

One too watch CAD/JPY

just for closure the 2 trades on post #27 were closed at the end of day. Us/Cad for +215 (should continue up but i expect a pullback soon) Eur/Cad for +310 (hit TP - first red line in pic)

i plced an EU pending order yesterday which was triggered today. i'll move anything i have running in profit no matter how small to AT LEAST BE with NFP and all the other news tomorrow. this is a weekly view..

I have quite a few pending orders in on the MT4 account. I will leave these in place for tomorrow, I will also leave them in my SB account but have minimal position size on them. I've calculated that if all go wrong then they will only add up to the gains I made Tuesday on the U/Cad bet.

Just noticed that this demo account is up about 40% since I started it (6 weeks ago). I only use this for this thread, instead of having to follow up on the trades like i originaly done. Not bad considering some of the bets never went through (#post 30) and several of the negative bets in a row at the end of November were done by an EA I was playing with. My spreadbet account is up over 50% as I did not have these issues. I acually find Xmas a bad time to trade with low volume causing volitivity.

Not all good news..Cad/Jpy update

It's amazing what a few hours can do in Forex. The above Cad/Jpy trade is now positive. I've decided to take more off the bet with a small ammount left to run

All trades, where possible are now at BE or some profits locked in. Lot of news tomorrow!

Time to let the market settle after all the news. I will leave all open over the weekend both on the demo and live accounts. Mixed results as I expected with the pending orders going #post 33. The pick is of the Cad/Jpy i've posted about since jan 2 #post 25. I was expecting some pullback between the 'red' lines but the news has shot it through. I bailed early with a set TP as i wasn't around today, 100pips early . However overall it's performed as i said. will look to get in on pullback to red zone.

It's the first chance i've had to switch my MT4 account on since the NFP on Friday. It looks like a 'blood bath'. However I expected something like this may happen, but you never know. As I posted on Thursday (above) I kept the standing orders open on both my real and this account. With the low / minimum position size left on my real account it looks like a 'bee sting' compared to this Mt4 'stabbing'. I'll let my current trades run through today and will adjust pending position tonight as i see fit.

Haven't traded as much this week. But you can see from the tracker i've had a good week (up 11%). My real spreadbetting account ran into a few gliches as the company i'm with changes, hopefully i'll be a bit more active next week. Looking at the charts i see the Au/Cad did exactly as i predicted in #post 25, would have seen a 350pip profit.

A lot of the markets required a nice pullback...this was provided by the NFP. Here's an entry on the EU I have just taken. Pic below is of the weekly TF, however entry was done on the daily.

Always nice to switch on the charts and see things working out. GU trade hit its TP for +245. One disappointment I bailed on my Cad/Jpy sell last night, i had really just entered it and got instant cold feet but bailed for a small 16 pip loss. It would be +90 and countingdon't even know why I bailed??

Au/Cad (i keep posting on this) pulled back further then I thought and i entered to early, but price has now went up and I've went straight to BE. Not a good place to do it, should really leave the SL but i've been waiting for it to go back up for a while. If the move up fails this time i'll look to enter at a better position then the one i've got.
