There are many ! got to http://www.forexchurch.com/compare-forex-brokers.cfm , click on "+ Advanced Search Options" and then
from the MT4 Server Timezone dropdown menu, select GMT .....then click Update button...it should show you a list of about 40 brokers.

The amount of GMT offset (ie, the number of hours offset from GMT) can affect people, or more commonly
the EA's they use, because it determines when the candle for the new day is formed and therefore can
have an affect on their strategies.

For example Pepperstone mention on their website that they set their platform to GMT + 2 and then
GMT + 3 in summer to coincide with “5pm New York”, the internationally recognised end-of-day in the forex markets.

No gmt -5 is some wilderness time. Currently +3 is NY 5pm close charts and Pepperstone uses gmt +3 MT4 charts.

What can I say, all I know is that Alpari UK, FXpro, Pepperstone, ThinkForex, Vantage, AxiTrader etc etc all have their servers set to gmt +3 and this is 5pm NY time. A new daily candle begins at this time.

I dont know what this time zone is and dont care but that is when the new daily candle starts and to most the "offical close of the market" then starts the Asian session.

when it is 7 oclock at night in london, it is 2 oclock in the afternoon in new york. as you go towards the dateline( just east of new zealand, it is gmt - something bigger. new zealand is gmt plus 12, a day ahead.

oanda uses new york time as far as i know.

i had a look at a calendar and counted days excluding sat and sun and the gmt + 2 brokers match up.
surprising oanda doesnt even though they are using new york time. new york closes at 5 pm their time which is 7 pm london time(gmt)
the brokers are gmt + 3 at the moment because of british summer time.

gmt +3 is not new york time but they seem to get the match up of candles and days(excluding sat and sun) in a month or 5 candles in a week.

OK cool. So gmt +3 is not NY close but that is when NY charts finish according to you. Why over complicate things.

Oanda is NOT NY close as gmt +3 is NY close is when the daily candle finishes. Ask them in chat and they will tell you the same. They are one of the few main brokers that do not have NY charts.

Please reframe from posting inaccurate information.

no problem. i am with pepperstone but am considering moving to someone with mt5 for its extra timeframes.
gmt + 3 will do for the reason that i stated above in that the number of candles match up with the number of work days in a month: ie a 5 candle week. vantage fx might do the trick.
i am not thay good at it yet but i am getting there.
i did a couple of trade with precision courses a while back.

Hi Jenny,

There seems to be some confusion here. It's important to note that the US is currently on Daylight Savings Time. That means New York Time is GMT-4, instead of GMT-5 like it is in the winter. That means MT4 servers have to be set to GMT+3 to display New York Close charts.

When Daylight Savings Time in the US ends on November 2nd, 2014 then New York Time with return to being GMT-5, and MT4 servers will then need to be set to GMT+2 to display New York Close charts.

This is one thing that frustrates me about Oanda, or any broker. It would be nice if all charts had an option for NY close. But just FYI, Oanda is implementing this into their FXTrade platform, however no word on MT4 as of yet.
