{quote} That'd be an ooopsy. Stealth is so that it doesn't show the gridded positions on the chart. When you set stealth to false, it actually takes away the trigger on grid and makes it a pure grid. So, where ever you have the grid set to, it will cost average in at that point. That is the code that I try to keep out of the hands of people fresh to market. It is a market death surety!

Got it, thanks!

I was wondering how to optimise tp_in_money for different pairs. Is there any zig zag based EA to measure the minimum/max/average swing on different TFs? If yes, maybe such info could be useful to adjust the ranges for different pairs too...

I've been thinking about this exact same thing.

There is the use of the ATR. Average True Range. This actually calculates the movements over the number of periods set for any given Time Frame.

It'd be a bit of a Challenge to code in taking profit if the profit is greater than equal to the ATR...only real issue is, which period and which time frame could we use?

Because of the limited range of market after NY closes and through the TK session, this kind of throws off the curve. So, on an M5 chart, as example, we would see a shallow TP range during Frankie and opening London, but a massive one coming into close of NY and straight through to FRANKIE.

The idea behind the TOE is to do just this. Work inside of the dynamic range of the charts vs working with a blind guess or arbitrarily picked profit point. Doesn't always work out like that, but given the performance of the Harmonics bot, I'm back to a whole new level of excitement to just find out!!

Anything else you come across, Kos...let a brother know.

If I can't figure it out, we will hit GVC with festive drinks until he submits!!

Speaking of the ATR targets... Please see this post (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=4756692#post4756692) (from my library of market wisdom, lol). Could be a great idea to implement into TDI_TOE (and possibly others), especially for H1+ charts, as it takes into account the signal candle's ATR.

Sleep time for me now. Coming back for more Magic tomorrow.

P.S. We might try and hit GVC with festive drinks, whether you figure it out or not

The Harmonics is performing nicely on H4.
Even though it is setup on 3 pairs (GJ, AU & EJ) but only GJ is active so far.
Great job Magix.
Thanks.

Nice setup you have on the Xmas TDI.
Specially the EURAUD is doing quite well.
High profits with low DD.
Never thought of this pair.
Keep it up man.
Thanks.

Yeah, harmonics was interesting today for sure
late to the party on it, but i got it fired up before fomc, and it liked the action
http://widgets.myfxbook.com/widget?i...pe=1&color=red

not sure how it works yet, at least with the follow up trades, but can already tell there may be some spacing issues on GJ/EJ. but it needs more observation.
fun to watch so far tho

Edit: as I was writing this I see EJ cleared itself out, nice

TDI-S and TDI-S very well worked known my account real Tuesday up to the announcement of yesterday evening and he enclosed my orders GBP / USD with big losses total of 80 %
That I have to parametrize to avoid such big losses and to limit the damage. As we can test Christmas Next Gen?
Thank you for your help

Looking good here DF.

Is this still default grid 15?

I would think that you could decrease the risk by increasing the grid spacing as well as shoot for a higher target in funds on an H4.

I'm almost thinking that it might even be more beneficial to run this as a single trade bot, using the SLTP taking, SL=100, tp=100 on an H4 chart.

I know it wouldn't take as many trades, but I think with a higher pip value, it'd probably still kick some ass...

It does tend to load heavier on some of these little runs and yeah, even on the shorter TFs it might be of benefit to increase the default grid size.

Especially applied to the JPY crosses.

Still early in the testing stages for both Time Frame, grid size and TP points...

If we can maximize on this, it almost seems like this one could kick ass over the TDI and Next Gen by way of a smaller risk to an equal reward.

There is a specific reason that I had recommended only working with these in test accounts until after Christmas.

This is the reason.

Get past FOMC and the Taper news, these kind of moves are typical to the season.

Looking at my TDI_TOE, it is still around the same space, but has increased the size of the floating loss. Closing now, means that I wouldn't have generated a lot over last week, but the loss is negligible.

So far, the least amount of risk for this last movement was on Harmonics. While TDI increased in DD by 15-20% in floating loss, Harmonics Maxed out DD at 11.5% on a smaller account.

You are looking for the grail, we don't actually know that we've found one.

Use the tools that are available to help learn the ideas and triggering that are available. Compare these and see which meets with your own idea of profit to loss, risk to reward...look at each of the trade pairs for individual gains vs losses and build an all star team of traders.

guess costadelsol is talking about the FOMC news time. It was just crazy PA.. Nothing works at that moment.. SL will will hit for sure, if not TP or TrailStop.
