There are more significant confluences then MA's. Rate cut,Bubble heads like president of Bank of Japan saying what needs to be said or prime minister of finance etc.

I don't ignore them, but I can't trade them as I have no way of predicting what will be said and when, and as I am a trader and not an investor, I stick solely to that which I can see and understand, and that is my charts. News announcements can and do cause the price to spike, but for me it is not about trying to predict which way these are going to send the market, but reacting to them once the initial shock is over, in accordance with the technical picture.

daily is signaling 1.4 in the days to come. short term retracement possible but 1.4 will come. cleared all euro shorts. now long eur/chf

You must built a system that creates real edge ideally independent of moving average.
Having said this if it works for you by all means ignore what I said on my posts.I am certain in due time you will come to same realization.

At (2) bulls covered in combination with bears shorting thinking is too high, many stops above (2).

The point is, we do not know if the move from (3) back to recent high is genuine or not, it may just a move from the market movers to make more money knowing of the sitting stops….. That is why I said this morning it is not easy to know, but we only would see a bit better when it gets there……..

Best for "outsiders" which are us, is to buy @ 3, cover partial @ the recent high, move SL to BE and if it continues, all good, if not we made some..

EURO could dive deep into the ocean. I think the lady is loosing the grip she once had. It has to be a rush. Definitely a sudden one. Would the 2.105 Magnitude downward be a print. Time to keep my fingers crossed

it is all about us dollar being bullish or bearish. EJ and GJ highs can be taken out gradually one by one, why UJ high cannot?
Now UJ failed taking out its high, and is dropping now. Watch euro and cable go high.

Moving averages are just one of the tools I use, but they are a major one. Combined with other indicators like divergence, fibonnaci levels, trend lines etc they are very powerful once you have learned with ones to use and how to use them.
