Zorro 1.20 for professional trading system development

The new Zorro version 1.20 has been released last week and is available for free download.



Version 1.20 contains many new features - for example, the new DominantPhase function can detect turning points of the dominant cycle in a price curve even before they happen; the new account selection system makes it easy to trade with multiple accounts and/or multiple MT4 clients; the -d command line option allows to automatize different tasks with the same script; and the new Z4 system was especially designed for trading with very low capital in the range of $200.


Zorro is a free trading strategy development system and platform. It can run either stand-alone or as an attachment to MetaTrader4. In the latter case it overcomes all the shortcomings of MetaTrader and converts it to a serious platform for developing, testing, and running automated strategies. Zorro also contains several ready-to-run autotrading systems with annual returns of more than 300%.

i thought it is truly free at beginning

but it is not if you want to use it for LIVE trading?

c'mon, just say it comes with a price and it is fine as this is commercial section and ppl expect to pay

You can just download it, write or select a strategy and trade it live.

your MT4 bridge is not free, is it?

if not free, how can a trader use zorro for LIVE account? my understanding is your MT4 bridge is only for demo.

Or you are saying that one has to have a FXCM LIVE account to trade with "free version of zorro"?

You can trade live not only with FXCM, but with any broker that supports either an API or a web based trade platform. The broker interface is public domain and you can add any broker API.

The MT4 bridge script you mentioned is not from us, but written by a user, who charges 5 EUR for a monthly subscription. If that is a too heavy fee, but you still want to trade with MT4, then you can simply write your own MT4 bridge EA and trade with it live as long as you want. Otherwise I'm afraid it costs you indeed those 5 bucks. There are other Zorro scripts by other people who also charge for them. Anyone can write a Zorro script and sell it through the website. But no one forces you to purchase them.

Your issue was if Zorro is completely free for live trading, and the answer is yes.

okay, i guess i know where confusion arise from. i thought I can use zorro to trade a MT4 LIVE account for free, but it turned out NOT.

However, zorro can trade with some other API or web platform. But these API or platforms do not include MT4 LIVE.

That's not my purpose then. I am looking to trade a small LIVE MT4 account now........
