Yes, this was australian unemployment, but the problem is 5 Classic accounts with same orders lost 20 - 25% and one account lost 110%.

Well if a 9 pip stop represents a risk of 10% to the account, and you go news-trading with that, that's utterly suicidal. Even with a reliable broker. But i guess you only have the potential upside of this lottery, since its not your money at risk, right?

But i agree, having such a different outcome of the exact same orders on the same platform is a bit strange.

I guess you would do better with lmax directly, since there is no MT4-bridge in between that adds latency (and a potention b-booking broker). You can definately get raped there too (due to large gaps right at the news release) - but the chance if getting the fill would be higher.

Can you explain more about the "bridge" thing? Armada Markets is using MT4, with bridge from PrimeXM. I assume that connects to LMAX and Integral. If he opens account directly with LMAX, isn't the MT4 there also require a bridge to the LPs and integrators? Or LMAX as a wholesaler connects directly to MT4? I have tried the cTrader route but the order execution just not ready for OCO/OSO (order-cancels-order/order-sends-order) conditional orders for multiple scaling-in entries and scaling-out exits.

Yeah, I didn't comment on his 10% per trade risk management because since he is managing other people's money, I suppose he knew what he was doing had the success to invite clients to his portfolio.

Its apparently more like 20% risk, since in the one account without slippage equity is down 20%, and the other account got wiped out with a -50 pip trade (and 9 pip initial stop).

About the bridge: the pending order sits on the bridge-software, as opposed at the lmax or integral systems directly. That means the price-updates have to travel from lmax and integral to the bridge, the bridge has to process the update, and send the order to lmax or integral. That takes longer compared to an order that already is posted directly on lmax or integral, i would assume that can make a difference during extreme market conditions such as a high impact news release.

What other brokers beside Armada Markets use PrimeXM as bridge? This $2million dollar account just got "hacked" and lost 35%. From the trades history these are not from the trader himself (last trade 10/11) but by someone or some robot trading large 200-500 lots to kill his account within 7 minutes (from 10/22 13:12-13:19). Are our account login safe with Armada or PrimeXM?

The account got hacked due to the failure of the owner to implement a more secure password.
It's not related to the Prime XM bridge or any other bridge for that matter.
This could have happened to any live mt4 account on any broker that any of us owned.
A lesson for us all that rely on the default password issued when we open a live account.......change the password to a more complex one that will be harder to hack.

A broker I spoke with regarding the hacking of the above account said that they would pick up and disable prolonged hacking attempts. A simpler password could be cracked before the broker picks it up. A more complex password requiring a lot more time and attempts to hack is more likely to be identified and stopped by your broker.

why would someone bother to hack an MT4 account? What's the point? There's no financial gain, right?

Hi guys, I have a classic account with armada, when I ask about the slippage control in their oneclick plugin, they told me if I set the slippage value to "0" and if price move below or above the price I want the order won't be executed. Here's my question:

isnt this typical MM behavior? Coz as far as I know, ecn or mtf brokers can't really control the slippage, meaning, "kill or fill" type of orders don't exist in such brokers.

correct me if I'm wrong. Any help is much appreciated

I'm experiencing the same thing. 3-5 seconds execution delay. Talked to a customer support via live chat, and i was told that the technicians were looking at it. The next day i checked with them again, they said there were no issues...I'm seriously re-considering to trade with them. very bad.

I tried to exit trades manually just after NFP announcement, and could not exit. Had to cancel trade and wait for internal trailing stop exited the trade. Wasn't happy, since the trailing stop was not coded properly, and I ended in loss on two trades instead of profit.

Well, trading before NFP = gamble anyhow, so if u're in a trade before NFP, you should expect some crazy slippages...I got 28pips slippage past my SL. But that trade was treated as a gamble anyhow. I'll accept it.

Got a message under Mailbox in my MT4 from Armada. They are switching over the demo server, to be followed by live servers.

hey dude,its not e 1st time that i told them too,but i was being told that its either my PC or connection issue,i kinda getting sick of Armada now...but unless i am v.sure of them playing tricks,i thk for now,i will still stick to them for the time being

Execution speed is crap now (weeks ago it was instant, now it takes much longer (even seconds)) and on every trade I have now slippage.

I have similar feel that something has happened to slippage as well. After I had traded with them for about a month, they made me change the server and after that, in my opinion slippage has been bigger. I have yet to investigate what is going on, but I am not very confident with them at the moment. It does not help to have good overall pricing, if it is taken back with slippage.. And I have also contacted them with some technical problems and answers were not very useful. I still want to give them a chance, but I definitely will be looking things more closely. I will be posting here again within couple of weeks/months.

On Friday Armada did a sheduled software upgrade (check your MT4 Mailbox).

But execution still sucks (not instant anymore).

Looks like LMAX isn't their clearing partner No. 1 anymore and they now aggregate crappy price feeds as all the other usual Mt4 brokers with horrible slippage and shitty executions.
