so I can not scalp for profit. Has this ever happened to you? I have noticed that when I trade big lots they often do this. For instance the spread is now 10 pips for eur/jpy.. I should be in the green but I'm still in the red because of the spread.
Before Forex I was tall, and clean shaven. Now I am an Ewok.

Welll I was finally able to take some profit off of trade - should have been a lot more and it changed my trading strategy. I just wanted to get out of this trade. manipulators! beware of Oanda.

In case you are wondering why I haven't left is 1. I've had more problems with other brokers in forex. and 2. I'm going to sue them if they keep doing this.

are you actively monitoring and saving the spread somewhere? otherwise you won't have the slightest chance to sue them. They will just say that this can't be true and that you must be mistaken.

full sized usually multipe lots. I've never had a problem with smaller lots.

do you have 2nd account with low spread ? i don't trade with oanada but there website shows they had high spread today ,

that is a norm with every broker. grow up and add extra 5 pips to cost of entering trade.

if broker is good will not play 'technical problems' when you winning.

I've heard this from a couple of other traders but I don't think they were with Oanda.
What I do know is that some brokers will fill your small orders internally and take the other side of your trade (They become the counter party to your position). However, if it is a large order and they don't want to take the risk, they will fill your order in the market.
Oanda's order desk offers some of the best spreads, but if they pass it on, then what you get for spread can be quite volatile... especially in low liquidity markets.

Therefore, I would not call this manipulation at all. It's more likely liquidity and fill price related.

May I suggest that instead of placing one order for 5 standard lots, try instead to split it up into 5 different orders at 1 standard lot each.

Whatever the spread was, there is no "individual pricing", every oanda client sees the same price. If it is the most competitive price, that is another question. But i doubt they spike the spread to just stop out a few lots from an individual trader - thats just peanuts in the grand scheme of things. You can check their tick-by-tick price history here:

I don't think all non-futures FX brokers are bucket shops
