the pound dropped 6 hrs before euro had a big drop, but when euro dropped pound did not drop much.
usdjpy did not change much, and usdcad dropped a little.
so this is not dollar strengthening, rather pound and euro being dumped. the question is when they dumped pound and euro what is bought up?

I agree and I respect your knowledge and don't want to question you. I'm newbie, I agree. The only way to learn is to discuss. Or else the whole FF website is pretty useless I believe. All things I learned was almost from FF babypips and online. I never asked anyone when I should short EURUSD. I took that decision by myself. It was FF that taught me how to take the decision. I only wanted to discuss when I'm going in good profit. Also this isn't going to change my mind. Just an additional source. When people just believe lifeless indicator for entry and exit, why can't I believe people? I'll certainly learn only this way. Not simply sitting and watching chart alone which everyone is doing.

maybe so... at least for a few. i have a different vision longer term.. the low before this one was 280x.. the we bounced to 289x.. then we went to 276x... just curios whats in the middle of that high and low?

I posted a AUDUSD chart in AUDUSD forum this pattern in 11 out of last 12 weeks. EURUSD has occurred last 3 weeks and looking at the 10:00am EDT candle (the favored time to flush out the longs) we will get a 4th week in a row.

The pattern is simple. On Monday, the big banks stop selling activity to let the market rise and retail traders start buying (because it's finally going up). On either Tuesday or Wednesday, the banks come in with guns blazing shorting the pants off anyone that is long creating a stop run that continues into Friday.

Next week, more of the same.

This pattern will continue until the retail traders stop trying to pick the bottom and start front running the big banks by shorting on Monday before the NY close. Better to get stopped out once on a short, then continued stop out everyday trying to get long;-)))

I am newbie as well, don't worry, Sitting and watching chart alone is probably the best thing that will improve your trading. Forex is more than just one chart you should have a basic knowledge how money flow around and try to build from there.
You asked about closing position, well, mark place of your interest on the chart wait till day ends and try to analyse what happend and why.
I mean what is a different way to learn???
It's not easy, if you want make money like a doctor or a lawyer you have to learn hard for a long time,
In some cases doctor is fully qualified after a decade, this is very similair,

Lol you have to celebrate a good day though. Like vodka, euro longs are best with moderation lol. Not saying dont have any long but placement is key, and nothing in a while has turned up to change my overall sentiment

pairs dont equally move at the same time. the pair most like the usd is the cad and we are getting closer all the time with oil.
