You might need to rethink that one. This could be a place to buy it for a few 100 ticks move north but that about all you will get out of a buy down here.

WHY is this cable going down???!!! There is NO news, NO rumors, NO economic numbers, NO speeches, NO rate decisions, NO nothing!! There is NOT even any technical levels!!

It's dragging all the other currencies down. This is ridiculous!!!

actually if you want news... there is a lot of news today here in UK... Huge debates going on in parliament today about UK's Status as a eurozone member... people are demanding a referendum... David Cameron is losing some of his higher ranked party members who stood by him at first about staying in Eurozone, and now some of David Cameron's senior members are saying to Leave .... (I will forgive you for not knowing about this since ur not living in the UK)

As for technical... IVE BEEN SAYING GBPUSD to go down to 1.52... all the technicals are pointing there on the Daily Chart.... Look at my posts will you?? Friggin H&S pattern is on the verge of completing right shoulder at 1.5250.
Broken GBPUSD Upwards Chanel, Retested earlier today and failed to get back into it... suggests that upward channel is a bye bye....

Have look at EURGBP!
I think EURUSD and GBPUSD will fall together minimum 25pips in the next hours!

Thanks for the updates but it's a little disheartening that none of these news show up in the FF news. And as far as FX concerned, this is just internal UK news, shouldn't have THAT much of an impact on the currency. Republicans and Democrats fight all the time in Congress, US$ never gets impacted like that. And besides, UK is NOT in the EU. It still keeps its own currency. Who cares if it stays or leaves?

And even with all those news, the drop in the cable should be lot more gradual BUT at 11:00 am E stupid DT, there was just this one 45-pip drop in cable. What was that? What event triggered that one swoop drop?

hey lets face it.. there will have to bulls for bears to profit in a down trend.. and also the opposite is true..

fxtyrent, u r simply frustrated with the traders who are putting the money you will take at your target in to the market..

try BBC LONDON or BBC World Service.. they'll tell you all about this..

The UK has adefferent type of economy than the US.. of course they affect each other and overlap on stuff that move them.. but there are the specifics for each economy type also..

The important point is that the general election will be held in May 2015. So, the government are preparing for that time not now. I would say that they will show a strong currency in 2015.

i longed gu and eu a few hours ago. for GU, it seems it might down but the pair is at the bottom of a 4H uptrend channel. Right now, i am in the negative which sucks. Any longers?

well currency _is_ in an integral part of politics and i agree.. not only do they try to workout how to win the populations approval, but also to align with international allies and partners.. it is tricky to tell u the truth..
