Correct me if I'm wrong, but normally when there's a gap, SL is executed when price opens... So in this case if you had a SL at let's say 3000, because of the gap you would close at like 2900 or wherever price first opened on sunday. I never leave anything during the weekend because I'm too scared that could happen

Yes....that's my understanding of the way it works too. Of course if you are on the profit side, you win because your TP will not be respected until market open as well.

It depends on the broker and what they have in their terms and conditions as to whether they will honour the stops and take profit levels some will honour them and some wont.

If though I was to leave an open position, this would be only a short one.
So many things can go wrong during a market break which could lead the market straight down at the next opening (physical disasters, terrorist attacks, any type of turmoil etc).
I can not think of many reasons (apart from Central Banks interventions) that could gap up the markets.
Dont be misled into thinking the market only gaps down it has on many occasions gapped up by a lot of pips if something happened to for instance weaken the USD over the weekend then EU would probably gap up.

I don't usually hold positions overnight or over the weekend. Last Friday, around 2 a.m. I fell asleep at my desk. My dog woke me up a little after 6 Saturday morning. In Japan the markets close for the weekend at, you guessed it, 6 a. m. Saturday and reopen Monday morning at 6 a.m. I just got lucky (for once), that's all. I know it could've easily been very different. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I'm smart enough not to make a habit of it. And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either.

Made a small EJ +26 trade.
Not the safest time to trade, but I liked position of both stochs, and both arrows came nearly in the same time, with exit on previous swing high S2.

Did not take it as I was away. Would have taken for a quick scalp if present in front of screen.

If you look at your 15Min stochastic it was flat and starting its turn downwards when you took this trade - so not a high probability trade or HPT .

The arrow is but one signal. You need to look at the bigger picture - 5 and 15 stochs, pivots, trading times, genesis etc

Go through previous examples and posts.

white arrow i mean first long signal , genesis agree and bouncing from dp and stohastic is in good shape isnt it ?
Agree with just about timing otherwise all conditions was good ( em noob , just my appproach )
