In fact there is only one guy I am aware of that really did run his thread with absolutely no ulterior motive(fti).

Thought I would pop in because I knew there would be several people saying "goodbye." I am a bit surprised by this comment really, as I have always stated there was a business end of this thread - that's why its in the commercial section. I guess you never thought about that. After all, I was doing a forum a long time ago that charged. Charging for signals only makes sense as I am doing it for other sites anyways. It might come as a surprise to you, but I actually make my living as an analyst now. I don't do anything else but Forex.

That being said, you obviously haven't looked at my site. It has over 100 hours of free videos. I am sure that you think it should be free, and guess what - it is. There is everything you need there to understand trading. It doesn't cost me much to host it, and I won't lie to anyone suggesting that I am trying to "recoup" my costs for the server like James16 stated.

However, if I were fishing to make more money - I would be staying here and expanding this thread. It gets a lot more views than my little site. My site isn't my main source of income, and not even close to it. However, as I am being published, etc.....I figured that I should have my own place and offer these signals for less than the market is charging. It was more of an afterthought to be honest - most of the people on that site follow me as the analyst at the other sites I work for.

As for you specifically, you are more than welcome to start your own thread, record 100+ hours of videos, respond to text messages all hours of night, and run the forum in general. Also, you are more than welcome to put up with Internet trolls. Very few people are willing to stick their necks out in this "business." I happen to be one of them, and I have been rewarded for it. However, you will also notice that I give out a free trade idea on the front page every week, and had you followed them - you would have made money. So yes, I am greedy. I'm a trader.....you DO understand that like all things I work hard at, I would like to be paid from time to time. This has been a LONG journey. I have never turned anyone away, except to tell them that they won't be served well by my services. (I had to send someone away just two days ago as the time difference wouldn't have made the quicker signals worth while.)

So either feel free to do all of the above and then bother me, or you can simply go fuck yourself. Either works for me.

Anyway, I am also one of the commercial members who have charged for a site in the past (and no longer do) so I understand the issues. After following this thread for a long time and receiving all the time and help for free I am not at all surprised to see this happen and not even slightly disappointed.

You'll be missed. I will certainly come back less frequently knowing you won't be posting. But i'll be sure to drop in from time to time on your new venture.

At the end of the day you're providing content for FF and they are getting all the ad revenue. Seems like a silly arrangement -- it would be like pandora playing aerosmith and not cutting a check to aerosmith for the ability to play their songs. Not that i'm saying you're the aerosmith of forex, but you catch my drift

Anyhow, nothing but the best.

With respect Chris you are missing the point. Surely you can see the contradiction of your statement......... The joint is getting overrun with vendors, and I think it is only going to get worse. There are so many companies on here now that its out of control

I don't have aproblem with you making money from your site or signal service - I wish you well, but please don't pretend that it was all an accident. It was planned and it worked.

But if I was going to start a business giving Forex signals my business plan would probably look very similar to yours and Strat's and James.

1. Start a thread on a free public forum
2. Give out loads of free stuff to get ppl interested.
3. Advertise your new pay site
4. Post less on the public site but maintain a presence to keep ppl interested and get new customers

The MO is always the same but I guess that is progress and people move on.

I see your points and they are sadly very valid for most threads here. I will go out on a limb and say that I view Chris as an exception. If he wanted to build his business he would do what the James16 people do - maintain and drive a popular public thread to keep new customers flowing in.

Chris has instead been winding down this thread for some time, and imho he has never plugged or tried to push people into paying for his services.

In other words, he is doing the exact opposite of what he should do if he wanted to use this thread to drive traffic to his pay services.

Quite honestly, after all Chris has shared and contributed with, I think you're a bit rude in your sum up. This is not how this thread by perhaps the most down to earth, no bling bling, not to mention skilled and gifted with teaching ability person on this forum should end.

It's not as if Chris falls within the ranks of Jacko and Jag1966 (Jag1966: http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/forex-...esign-com.html) - both once popular FF members who have scammed tens of thousands of $$s out of gullable members.

I wish Chris well. He has provided fabulous trading advice over the years.

Couldn't agree more.

And Forexgogo --- been a while since someone posted a 20+yr chart on here... I'd have to say that's a nasty downtrend and there's no point in p*ssing into the wind. Plenty of other pairs that will show you a more obvious trade. But that's just my opinion and I haven't done any work on that particular pair...
