Thanks for putting together those posts for everyone' benefit. The spirit of thread is simply awesoem with some members making lots of effort to do cuh thing like you did and sharing their effort. This is one form of GIVING here.

There are already many highly experienced traders who shared their knowledge and experience in this thread. My contribution here is very small and I will focus in the posts of the newbie traders and try provide some insights on how I view the market. Hopefully these will help newbies learn in a quicker pace in this fast moving market.

Objective is to shorten your learning curve and this is what all the experienced traders are doing here.

I started a thread on platform tech about this---but have a look at these charts---both of A/U 4hr. One is from FF's Market Data System (available if you click the liquidity link on FF home page) Completely different due to better(combined) data from FF and in this case different broker times. But how can you make decisions based on candle info when everyone is seeing something different?

- consistency
- we all trade the price
- no matter what server time your broker data is based on and what timeframe candles you use, the price is the same.

candle reading is not an exact science. depending on the brokers open time, candles paint different from another, especially 4hr. most times though... still the same reversal candle.

ex. railroad = pin = morning or evening star = engulfing.

some brokers might print pin, while others might print engulfing etc... still the same thing.

besides... trading requires much more than reading candles.

OK granted the price at each tick is reasonably similiar across the brokers but in this system some of us are using ma's for entries. The ma is drawn using close of candle info so if all the candles are different the perceived edge from using the ma may not really exist?

Yes but price is made by people and if everyone was seeing the exact same thing
maybe price would move in a more predictable pattern. Probably not but it would be a damn good start.

My answer:
still the same...

- consistency

I am not discussing the technicality and science of indicators like MAs as one example, nor its pros and cons, its application, whatsoever here in this thread.

Traders are discerning people and must decide on their own and find their edge in their trading.

folks...There are several charts posted on this subject.Remember we are not looking for any candlestick pattern or any other things here....ITS PURE LOGIC.
Just keeping the Odds in favor.as to where to price might GO.and we confirm the same by looking the LTF for entries...thats when we trade towards the 200ema.

I have posted several charts on this....and the charts are carried on by IMI/particularly GOOCHIE.

I took the same trade, but entered lower at 50EMA bounce. Less than 2 pips retracement!! 22 pips banked! The target was 1.3 but I decided to close a little bit earlier. Of course, the TP would have been hit.

While writing, the price broke up 1.3 and heading north. A 1.3 retest would be nice for re-entry.
