Based on my chart reading, I wouldn't think it might take the whole week for the dust to settle. -IMHO-

Was away from the forum a day or so, and seems I missed a lot! Glad you and your cartoons are both liberated.

Re the discussion about the Aussie sentiment, I am also Australian, but have lived in Beijing many years. "You can take the boy out of Australia, but you can't take ..." The ride on the $ in both directions is as always a rollercoaster.

As for the HSBC Flash PMI, I am expecting another poor number when it comes out. HSBC survey mostly smaller private companies, unlike the official Chinese survey, which is more about the big State-owned enterprises. Certainly it has been as quiet a summer here as I have known.

So a poor PMI will probably create a bounce in the AUD, as traders first sell, then start believing that Beijing will unleash new spending programs as a result, creating a need for more iron ore and coal - and up she goes again. It's highly unlikely that Premier Wen will write any new cheques now, so close to the handover to the new Premier, but markets aren't perfect. Otherwise what would we all do instead of trading?

Those will be shorter-term blips in the bigger picture, but good scalping territory.

Good morning guys, here's my view for tomorrow's move.

One possible move for this pair tomorrow is;

it would start off by going north for around 10 -20 pips then continue it's way south, first possible downward target is 1.0340

I believe this could be the scenario for Sunday night (EST) and Monday morning. Aussie will be down first then move up later. -IMHO-

Your scenario is possible but I thought the 10-20 pips up move was done at Friday close. -IMHO-

what about 5 - 15 pips then Papa

my broker showed me that Friday's close is 1.0375, what's yours?
I think on Monday it would still be able to go up to around 1.0380 - 1.0395
