FxOpen ECN accounts

Hi,

Just looking for new forex broker, I came across FxOpen ecn account. Is there anyone trading on such accounts?

1. How fast orders executed, is there "server no responding to your orders" times? (because on demo account I experienced it few times during short period of time - after sending order to the server closing position, it just don't respond for 1 minute or so, however I get quotes in the terminal updated.
2. How accurate feeds?
3. What about "real" overall cost, i.e. commission + spread + slippage?
4. How big spreads on important news for AUDUSD, USDCAD? And how long they stay wide? I mean is there possibility to trade important news, or slippage, spread widening, + gaps will ruin it?
5. How well different size orders executed? 4 lots, 10 lots - same?
6. What about fund withdrawals? Is there any issues?
7. How often stop loss slippage accure? And how big? Is there slippage in favor of a client?
8. Anything else you feel like say.

I downloaded demo ecn account from them, but demo and real is usually totally different thing, so that is why I want to get feedback from you guys who trades on real accounts.

I hope to getting some feedbacks.

Hi

1) As with most companies, the demo server doesn't get as much resources as live servers which take priority. It may get clogged from time to time. I trade on a live ECN account and don't have any problems with execution.

2) Its not a price feed, it's "best price" from the available LPs.

3) Spread + commission is comparable with other companies. The spread itself is often a lot tighter than others. Google for spread comparison (there are a few sites) and see which broker suits your spread desires.

4) Slippage is not something I notice too much so I don't think it's too much. In important news, spread can widen suddenly as liquidity is pulled, then returned a few seconds later. It's best to stay out until things settle a bit anyway. AUD/USD spread is usually less than a 1 pip most of the time. I've not watched closely on news as I tend to enter some time after the noise.

5) I'm small fry/low risk so most of my personal orders are less than 5.00 lots. There are traders using 100s of lots no problem though like the top PAMM trader hrenfx who has been taking the whole market to school for months now

6) My only gripe is the length it takes for international wires to be processed in the banking system. That should change soon when FXOpen Australia is launched under ASIC's watchful regulatory eye.

7) Slippage is rare for me and not excessive to cause concern. I have been slipped on entry in my favour a few times.

Just give FXOpen a go. Your funds are safe there with NZ registration you always have the NZ government financial dispute resolution scheme to fall back on should there be a dispute with the company. Also with ASIC watching their Australian arm closely, the NZ (offshore) side is careful not to be a bad partner.

If you don't like your experience with FXOpen, you can always close your account and trade elsewhere.

So, dont you like the fxopen?

I hear about it good and bad too. I cant decide which one is the true.
Cos, if its realy good, I will open an account at it.
