I finally made it work, I didnt compile it before thats why it didnt work so now it works, 1st position opened, I will test this EA for few weeks, I do believe it has potential but the 76% losing trades on your statement worries me

Learn from me. I have been haphazard with my entries (i.e., trying to time reversals). Wait for some confirmation and then get in.

Hint: Use the time feature. If you think it is a good time to place the EA on th chart, you may want to change the time to the present time. That way, the EA will believe that the day is starting at that time and your entries will occur immediately.

PS - Don't worry about the winning percentage. This strategy works only because of high RR%.

I am still getting the EA updated. The original coder has been slow to respond. I have also asked for some enhancements. I just wanted to give you an update on my trading based on the flawed EA.

The following is the version that trades both sides of the market hoping for momentum either direction.

This is the version where I choose a direction. To be completely honest, I am horrible in choosing the timing and direction of a daily move. I need to come up with a different method (maybe go down to H4 and watch for reversal indications or other momentum signs). So I am still in a work in progress. But even at that, the EA has proven to be profitable. It takes my horrible entries and makes money. So I know that once I figure out how to make better entries, this will be even more profitable.

Thank you for the RAT EA. Do you update your new versions on post 1?
I want to be a long term trader looking at weekly charts. I will use your EA to open trade in that directions.

The method and EA are still a work in progress. My entries are rudimentary at best. So I tend to get big DD before I go into profit. The key is not only direction but timing. Wait for some confirmation before you place the EA on the chart. If good scalping skills is similar to the precision of a scalpel, this EA is more akin to a sledge hammer. If you are good with entries, you'll get the job done (i.e., make good profit) but you'll be wreaking havoc along the way.

Hi James, nice to see a "rat" follower over here - great to see continuation as the old haunt is down....

I am paying with the following concept for a couple of months now - use H1 tf, use 3lzz for identification but change all period factors x4 to reflect H4 tf, usual rat entry (green rat - down candle closes to form sema 3, up candle closes, entry next candle above high of prior up candle, red rat - reverse) - my results are not too shabby....

I love stacking, DD sometimes huge but if you consequently close the "wrong stacks" after 100 - 200 pips loss, you are fine.

I also came to like the idea of sixth indicator as additional confirmation of entry

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I've been using Snowball until now and it has actually been very good. That said, Snowball offers less control.

The RAT is a great concept and I'm going to start testing it today.

Only problem is I get the ERROR in the experts tab that says "corrupted executable file. Recomplie it."

I have recompiled it many times and I got 0 errors and 3 warnings.

In your original post, you mention all the additional files should be in EXPERTS/FILES. Did you mean FILES or INCLUDE directory?

or did you mean -- put them in FILES first, compile, and then move them to INCLUDE?
