Bob,

I have a question here regarding multiple entries. If one has too many open orders, maybe 10-14 open orders, how is he/she going to manage when to close, TP or SL.

I found that, by placing orders above R and below S can be dangerous especially when price decides to reverse.

I usually run just one trade per trading pair, IE one pending trade at a time per currency pair. When that one is taken I then manage that trade. It only takes a couple of seconds to deal with a trade. I check in about every 4 hours and see how it is doing. If you have set your SL and TP you are basically done unless you follow up later with moving the SL and TP. Once I set my trade I walk away and let it run.

MY GUIDE IS:


i can see on day

the indicator : MTF - LWMA =START WEEK

the 2011-11-12 we have a START week indicator like a support
and the 2011-03-22 also a START week support


until know i make a BE on usdchf and xauusd and i have a free trade i dont have a tp

Hi,

Remember to look for MAJOR SRs, look at larger TFs, I prefer D1. Unless I cant see any, then I look further out to W1. From the D1, its very clear the next SUPPORT is there(chart item #2)

OK, understand. What I face is, if I set buy limits or Sell orders after SRs, most probably, I will get the trades opened, BUT some trades just whip lash or reverse.

But if I dont place orders at SRs, I might miss some trades that have already ran away from the SRs.

So based on this scenario, I might consider scanning all the pairs for high probability swings or TRENDS, then take a note on it to come back and check the charts for final entries. By doing so, I might have less trades per week, but mostly filtered trades.

I will try this method next week and post my results end of next friday.

Did you check alorente's scalp setups? I tested it for a few days, with quite positive results. Stress level-LOW. Eassy to spot setups too.

first post! been lurking for a while

i took 40 pips on this last night just before the turn.

NB's strategy has been pretty kind to me this month since I have been playing with it. Bob and Kelisa descriptions of trades and setups have been invaluable.

I post it up also because I want to improve my decisions. There are thousands of strategies in FF, but what is important is, the system suits your daily activities and your character.

There is no holy grail in FX, the only holy grail I see is your MM that will give you the edge in your overall tradings.

Yes, I am working on a variation of it now. He took part of the 1.0 system (actually he had his own trading system which was similar to it) and added some unique indicators of his own from his trading experience and made it work on the 15M chart. His 10MA cross indicator is very unique and i am studying it now. I am working on adding a variation of the 10.0 as a trend indicator to see how it helps. Again the TMA will always work to a certain degree because the markets range 70-80 % of the time. His 10 MA cross system is superior to the 5x5 I was using with it so I think you will get better results. His spike indicator is something interesting also. Following the 10.0 trend signals should boost your win percentages but not enough testing has been done to prove that yet. Yes it seems like a very sound system. My problem is trading the 15M charts does not fit my schedule but I am working on solving that problem.

MM was what made me successful. Once I understood that I became a profitable trader. I feel I can trade almost any system (some better than others) if I handle my funds properly. Most new traders (I remember those days) looked for the right system or trading method. Now I watch how I handle my money first and then look for trading opportunities. I have come to the conclusion that you could take any currency pair, do a buy or sell and I could handle the trade successfully if the lot size to account size is right. Once I got that it was just a matter of becoming skilled in a trading method. I still have one bad trading habit that is hard to overcome but I will hit a bunch of winners and then start over trading because I think I am hot. Then I get into trouble and have to take some time to overcome my bad trades. Oh well. Sometimes we never learn. LOL

Yes, I am also testing the same way. Scan thru 10.1 for SRs, swings or reversals. Then once confirm trend direction, will move into M15 using the TMA for entries. To make the entry much safer, in a UT, I wait for price to retrace till outside of lower band, then enter LONG for the ride up.

M15 TMA gives u good scalping for 5pips or more, but I see H1 gives u less but higher probable entries.
