traded at least 15 times with no problems. everything was perfect. lets hope pepperstone has really fixed the problems. itll be the best aussie broker if its true.

Just lost connection for about 4 minutes. Open trade was closed as soon as connection came back at the current price when re-connected, 2.6 pips beyond TP.

It's really cool, the offering Integral Spreads + Integral Routing and at the same time 400:1 leverage is unbeaten.

However what's going on with those disconnections?

Gap caused by a disconnection that lasted a good minute just now... (not long, but since my other brokers and a 3rd party price feed kept streaming I know it wasn't from my end.)

I had to laugh though, since at work I deal with equities in the mornings and my tired mind instantly thought "Oohh.. A gap up, will it fill? Open market reversal coming?"



The disconnections are getting much better though, about the same as other MT4 brokers from what I've observed in the last week. Cut out about one or two more disconnections a week and I'd call it normal (for an MT4 broker) operations. Of course, I'd LOVE to see no issues at all.

just when i entered a euro trade pepperstone crashed for 2 to 3 minutes.

Was it just before 2am EST (~8:30 server time)?

EDIT: Oh, just read your post title that said ~5:40 Sydney time. Yeah, that's around the same time but might not have been the exact same disconnect I got.


That's the only disconnect I have experienced today as per my previous post. As per my journal, I went from disconnected to connected again in 1 min 30 seconds.


I'm curious... maybe it's not dropping everyone at once, maybe it's one node dropping connections and they fail over to others... It was mentioned they migrated to a cluster setup for their new infrastructure, maybe they are having fail-over problems. Mmm..

It seems that Pepperstone connection problems is coming back again? How is the average down time per day?

no problems during european session

average per day? under 30 seconds?

It's not the same problems as before...

i experienced 4 outages last week.
longest duration 2 mins .
less than 1 minute for other 3.

so 5 mins downtime for weeks screentime.

not perfect but....

contacted pepper re outages.

Didin't notice any outages thursday-friday, the execution speed i'm getting was much faster last week, now like 300-400 ms for market order, however spreads where about 0.1 pips wider wednesday-friday, averaging about 0.45 for london sessions.

Hey Traders.
Are there any Portuguese traders here using Pepperstone?Or European? I'm entering in the FX market's next month and Pepperstone sounds like one of the best spreads for an ECN with a low barrier in the first deposit, but distant from Europe and probably that will matter in terms of response time no?
BTW any Portuguese resident traders here?

Hi All,

since everyone is talking about integral and different prices coming from different brokers i thought i would clear up why this is the case.

Integral is an aggregator, not an ECN. Integral provides the technology that allows brokers, funds, banks, etc. to aggregate liquidity from several sources. Every broker using integral will have a different mix of liquidity providers, thus they will have different prices.

pepperstone is definitely playing with the prices. ive traded live with them and had all the same price feed problems mentioned here. I also noticed they never had choice (0) spreads which is common with other integral brokers i have traded through. the lowest they ever went was 0.1.

so you understand, prices can go to 0 on integral as the different feeds being aggregated may not see each other. this is why i prefer integral over some of the better know ecns and aggregators.
