is the DOM and volume realiable? It only shows LMAX customers? do any one use both information? any comments?

What do you mean, "realible" ? The prices that you see in the level2 display are quoted by Goldman and JPMorgan as well as LMAX customers (unfortunately not that many).

Anybody have anything to report on Multicharts with LMAX api? Data issues (tick backfil etc) or order execution. Any of you guys trading live with it? Cheers.

Spikes are still there. Not as many as before so slight improvement. I am using the platform once more to execute trades as it is lightening speed compared to their java based platform which is worse than my meta trader broker platform.

I think as always I'll avoid all these fancy toys and just use the web platform, which has to be said is instantaneous for executions!

Thanks, Porkpie. I'm tempted to try it again, as I really liked the way you could set a preset stoploss and TP on a trade and then just trade with one click, and also make adjustments from the chart.

Entering a stoploss each time on the web platform could not be more unintuitive- it drives me crazy! I'd hoped they would have addressed that by now.

Cool, I would love to have a AUS based account too, everytime I withdraw I don't lose $$$ to bank comission.

More on the lower comission, have you got a hard and fast number yet?

I didn't think they would bond with customer so I never bothered to contact my acc manger at all, I guess it's time to be more involved.

Guys be carefull if you use MC charts in real time...it is still a crap , it is impossible trade with it ,completely wrong the candels also if i make a continuos refreshing.......

Yes, that looks crap. Please let them know about it- as it's a beta and a work in progress. The more people that complain about it, the sooner it will be fixed.

The LMAX Trader charts are okay. I wonder why the data in MC is so bad? I'm sticking with fxcm+Sierra Chart for the time being and using the order ticket for execution. Wouldn't mind looking into just using MC DOM for order entry and not using the charting as I find the LMAX order ticket a bit clunky. I wish they had something like the Ninja Trader DOM or some kind of stand alone offering that could be downloaded and offer greater speed and flexibility. Sierra Charts is a very stable platform and would be great as a charting and order entry option for LMAX. Written in C++ though and I think LMAX api's are either Java or C#(.NET). I'm not a programmer. Upshot is that LMAX is great for scalping but the tools they offer don't quite match the potential. I suppose LMAX users could band together and pay a programmer to write to the api if enough of us wanted a better price ladder/DOM to use? Just a thought. Could use something like Bracket Trader which I used with Interactivve Brokers. Solid and simple. Could something like this be adapted?

What about the MC order entry? It appears only the charts/data history is broken at the moment, but the DOM etc should be ok?

Personally i can live with the web GUI, even tho there is definateliy room for improvement.
