was this one of my indi? if so could you fix it?

That was actually the multistochdirection that I was trying to adjust to not alert at every bar...(nothing was wrong with it to be fixed as it does just what it is suppose to do )...but was just trying to tweak it to 1.) not alert at every bar and 2) show past alerts and current alerts with vertical lines like the new stuff but couldnt get it to do what I wanted...and thanks for the congrats...its taken me a while but yes I finally have found my way it seems...

1.) not alert at every bar

if you need only the very first alert and nothing else that's quite easy to add (but it would not be like the new stuff - only the first alert is triggered and that's all - if later one is happening in the opposite direction it does not go off - that can be added in a couple of minute)

Not Sure if the attached changed one does what you want - I had no time to wait for alerts if it works great otherwise just forget it

Well, that is much more work as I can not simple use my other stuff. So, I will not look into it at the moment.

about your Trailing SL: do you really trail it or you move it always when

2% are gained to BE
4% reached Sl to 2%
6% reached SL to 4%
8% reached SL to 6%

or do you smoothly trail it - just curious

Also do you know more or less what is the average initial SL in Pips approx. (I'm aware it will differ and also it is probably different for each pair but just what sticks in your mind approx.

Well Im not sure what you mean by smoothly trailing it...

The concept is when 2% is gained than move it to BE
4% reached sl to 2% and so on and so forth as you stated but
it can be simplified and thought of in just pips where its basically
trailing by whatever the stop loss size is...so if the stop loss is 10 pips
than you can set a trailing stop of 10 pips which would give the same effect so at 2% or +10 pips stop loss will be moved to breakeven and than
at 20 pips the stop loss will be moved to lock in 10 pips which would be 1:1...so I will usually do it manually by just keeping in mind what the stop loss was so when it goes that many pips than I lock in pips according to this management idea...but sometimes I have in the past used a trade manager EA to assist in just automatically applying the set trailing stop.....and when trading on the 5 minute the number that seems to pop in mind when asked the average stop loss I guess would be something like 20 pips for a stop loss...and on the 15 minute probably somewhere around the ballpark of 35 pips for a stop loss...but thats always including the spread as well...

The second part is really not so important but I was trying to get it to where it alerts once if giving lets say an up signal and than will alert again just once for an opposite signal and so on and so forth...if its not too much trouble can you copy and paste that portion of the code so I can see what you changed just for my own learning experience and curiosity...(you can private message that part if you feel more comfortable doing so)and thanks for doing that despite your being busy and everything...

Well, the above changes won't do that - it will only alert once full stop. So, that will not be of any help for you - just forget it for the time being.

well I was looking for it to alert once per direction so If a buy signal came in than it would alert and not alert anymore buy signals until a sell signal came in....but I guess thats a bit more complicated and thats why I couldn't figure it out myself...

Price on about all the majors seem to have pulled back to the 200 ema on the 4 hour time frame...so tomorrow I guess we will see a resumption of the trends from last week or price will break through the 200 ema on the 4 hour and run to the opposite direction or the direction price moved in today...waiting to see how it turns out...but of course again I dont play based off of just speculation but just gathering an idea of what I should possibly expect from the market tomorrow...

If you don't mind I would like you to test something out for me. Could you maybe for a week or so overlay your charts with a fractal s indicator.

I would be interested if your SL point (Semaphor) always corresponds to the last fractals too.

If it's too much of a hassle just forget it.

Anyway: I won't be around for a while but wish you all the best in your trading effort.

Sure of course I can do that for you...is there a particular fractal indicator you would like me to use or just the standard one that comes with mt4...but for the most part from what I've seen in the past the fractals and semaphor do pretty much line up with one another but I will test it out and get back to you on it...

So todays action was the action I was looking for on last Friday led off by reverse bearish divergence on the four hour charts...pics from last week to see what Im talking about...

Maybe I have missed another but this is all I have taken today so far, hopefully by your rules.

There were no entries according to the trend trading strategy today....if the daily is oversold than it counts as being down and you need all conditions met to sell but can not take any buys....and the opposite for overbought....and no portion of the hourly rope can be oversold or overbought when looking to open a position....so you should not have taken any of the entries that you did...

Hey, thanks for the response and advice... and I thought I understood it all lol.. I'm still learning your rules here but you have given me some more nuggets that will help..
You are right in that my mistake was to look at only the direction of the daily stoch and not to take notice of its overbought/oversold position.

No worries...its all a learning process as everything else...but the daily is looking like it may want to close below 80 for the trend to be down tomorrow on the eu,gu and all the pairs that move similarly and opposite for the usd cad and usd chf...but if not than may just have to wait until thursday which is fine because the profits that might be generated may be enough to make up for the first half of the week with no real trades...and I have not received a private message...
