Nb 10.0 counter trading system

Frodog, many thanks for the tip. I am going to try that, as well as I found on the trend thread where Mediator had modified the EA's for ECN. Hopefully, one or the other will work...

look in the trend trade thread: i put out an ea and a dashboard-panel to trade this strategy with every ea u need all together!

I am also having a problem with trades not going through. It happened on 1H CTR BOTH, but think it would happen on all of the EAs. I am using ECN broker, but already have TP and SL set at 0. Also have 5 decimal places so set order amount to 0.10. In the experts journal entries it receives the "order buy market 0.10 CHFJPY sl:0.000 tp:0.000". Then "request was accepted by server". Then got "order buy 0.10 GBPJPY opening at 0.000 sl:0.000 tp:0.000 failed [Off quotes]".

What I don't understand is why I am getting the "opening at 0.000" that then generates the off quotes error, instead of getting a normal price quote. When I call the broker, he says it is in the EA. Help would be appreciated, as I am a user, not a coder and really want to get this working.

I just tried the SteveHopwood EAs and I get 0.0000 in the error messages, which is more correct for my broker, since it uses 5 decimals, but still getting the same error of opening price of 0.0000 for GBPUSD, so essentially same problem.

I think the problem is with the CRIMINAL (i.e. the broker) and the junk platform (i.e. Metatrader4). "OFF QUOTES" error starts when there is heavy traffic and when everything goes back to normal it is still active. I suggest you close the platform and restart. This should solve the problem. please try it and let us know.

In the pic below we define trend and range. An uptrend is when price candles on the daily chart have both the high and low above the black and green MA lines. A downtrend is when the candles high and low are below the black and green MA lines on a daily chart. A ranging market is when the high or low of a candle is touching a green or black line. See pics below.

Gold is ranging, blue is trending. 2nd pic is the main screen blank.

Basic rules to counter trading and recovery:

1. As you can see the market ranges much more than it trends.

2. We want to trade the gold areas because they are much easier to trade and make money than trend trading.

3. Even when the market trends, most of the time it doesn't do it for very long so you spend most of your time with SL.

4. It is easier to counter trade out of a trend than it is to try to ride the trend. In other words take the bouncing ball for a ride.

5. Always counter trade towards the median line (red line) most of the time that is where price is going to go.

6. Conclusion: TRADE THE GOLD AREAS, COUNTER TRADE THE BLUE.

When do we start trading? When ever price (high or low) breaks the black line. We then turn on the EA and let it ride. We will study the 9 trading areas and approximate their results. See pic below.

An explanation of the 4H EAs. There are 4 EAs but the sells are the same and the buys are the same. One buy and one sell EA have take profits and the other two do not have take profits (TP) These can be used interchangeably depending on how you want to use them. See chart below.

All 4 of the 4H EAs enter the same spot. If the 2MA high is higher than the 3MA high and price is above both then Sell. The opposite for buys. If the 2MA low is lower than the 3MA low and price is below both buy. The TP 4H will TP at the opposite line. You can see however, that price doesn't always make it that far but when I am away from the computer it is nice when it does. I love using the 4H TP after the USA opening about 4H in and switching to the 4H recovery after the Euro open. So I use the TP one about 16 hours a day and the other about 8 hours. Trying to catch a nice run.

There are times when the 4H TP price will not move enough to TP but it would have taken several profit trades. You will need to close the profits manually.

There are times when the 4H TP will close as a losing trade. Most of these are small losses but losses none the same.

The beauty of the 4H EA during range time is how many profitable trades it will take over a period of days. IN area 1 price ranged for 20 days. We traded towards the median looking for price to move breakout into a DT. It did not happen but there were a lot of potential profitable trades. Look at pic below.

Coming out of area 1 price went against us and now we have recovery. See pic below. We do no more entrances letting this one trade go into what ever negative it wants to go to. We wait until the low breaks the black line. DD will be 400-500 pips. We now counter trade our way out. We up the lot size one level lets say from 2-3 to help counter our way out faster. If the negative trade is .02 and is 500 pips down that is 500x2 or 1000 to recovery. If we use .03 lots to recover then that is 1000 divided by 3 or 333 to BE. If we use .04 we have 1000/4 or 250 to BE. I like .03 so lets take a look.

We have a nice retrace of 250 pips from our original negative trade. 5-6 50 pips profit trades wipe the negative trade out. We have zeroed out our trade and we are on our way to making profit trades again.

We go from gold to trend and this time it is a DT. If we stay in we do very well, if not we had a profit trade. No reentries but we will get a DD trade. We hit gold again and recover out of this one easily

Anyway I hope you get the basic idea. We want to counter trade back into a trend, if it works we have a bunch of nice trades. If we dont we counter trade our way out. Now for some live trades. I have been challenged severely that counter trading, multi-level trading, and/or trading without SL is just plain stupid. What I have been trying to express is you can successfully counter trade. So here are my live counter trades for this week. Almost all of these are from my range trading system and the traders there are interested in how I am going to get out. So here they are, live and free. You can watch me trade my worst DD trades. I have about 10,000 pips in DD which is the largest I have ever carried. So my 10.0 system will be put to the test. My DD is just over 20% so I have plenty of room still to maneuver but I must be careful at this point. I know this is a very difficult situation but what a good way to teach to get out of trouble. So here are my worst trades to counter trade my way out.

Headache trade #1, thank you CHF bank for this one. Because I know you will interfere this will be very difficult to get out of so here we go. CHF/JPY 1233 in the hole at this point. I have tried to counter trades so far one at a support line and one at the OI recovery EA. Neither one worked so now I wait for the black line to be touched. This will be my first attempt at recovery with the new 4H high/low system. I need to wait a couple of days before I start. In the pic you will see #1 reentry was tried at support and #2 was tried using OI ea. You may ask WHY am I trying to hang in there? Because I know at some point the BOJ will step in and force the direction to change. I dont need a 1000 pip move from them but 2-400 will do nicely.

Cad/jpy not so bad only 336 pips down. Waiting to get back to the black line

Aud/jpy 446 pips down waiting for 2nd level trade

NZD CHF already have enough recovery trades to zero this one out but now that it has broken the red line I want to ride the DT using the 4H system and see if I can make a profit now.

GBP/USD and AUD/USD are two of the ugliest trades. CHF was a manufactured move that is violating the basic fundamentals of the currency. It will recover some but that is all I need. Same thing with JPY trades. The BOJ will intervene. But these two are fundamentally big trouble. GBP because they are deliberately depreciating their currency and the USD is strengthening. Hard to get a good retrace. So I am planning my losses on that one. What I am doing is taking my profit and wiping out the gbp/usd trade. I have done half of it last week and will do the other half this week. Despite doing that last week I still posted a 1% increase in my account so you can take these kind of losses and still post profit.

The AUD/USD may not be quite as ugle but as China's economy slows down the AUD will drop like a rock. I will bow out of this one also as soon as I am done with the gbp/usd. I do have some hopes for a retrace with the AUD/USD because they have dumped all their EURO debt so they are not vulnerable to the EURO situation. I figure this will allow the AUD to strengthen some at some point so I will try to counter trade this one for a while but I wont be too patient with it. Anyway here is a pic of the gbp/usd so you know I aint blowing smoke. There are times I do take losses but there is a reason I do. So here it all is out in the open. I have some others but they are not as difficult as these are.
