You know it is interesting, three new personalities have shown up and began posting to this thread in the past 48 hrs or so and now I have three new people on my ignore list...sometimes reading the forums is like trading a 1 minute chart, a lot of noise...

If you're a long term investor who's prepared to hold for years then your strategy might make sense. However, if I were to employ your strategy, I would average down if price went against me to minimize or offset the effects of cost and time lost. The averaging down would have to be calculated so that a few thousand pips against you doesn't wipe you out. The bad thing about planning an averaging down is you may be sacrificing profit up front - in the event price goes your way after first entry. Time has monetary value (opportunity cost). So the amount of averaging should also take time into account. Again, costs such as swaps/rollovers, time and margin locked up meaning you have to "sit out" better trades might make this type of trade economically unfeasible.

Most traders in this forum open and close trades on a daily basis. I think that's why you recieved strong backlash. Anyone who is daytrading is not willing to get into a trade that they might have to hold for weeks. It also goes against many experienced trader's principles to not use a stop loss. I once heard Larry Williams (whom is a professional trader) say that he knew seven people who commited suicide from trading. He said they all had one thing in common: No stop loss. Do you really think these people thought they were going to lose so much they would kill themselves before entering the market? Now maybe you can afford to lose your account and it won't ruin you, but why begin using bad habits even on money you can afford to lose? You should be consistent in your core methods and principles each and every trade.

What a loss of time and energy.
I smell those guys from miles away and there are a few walking around here lately. They do not want to learn, the do not want to discus and share thoughts they just like to look smart and impressive to the noobies and as there are so many of them they are happy. Don't try to reason with them because they are not able to and it's just a loss of valuable time and energy.
It was funny to see that this guy trying to reason his words which miserably failed, mostly they do not respond at all like that SIgurs fellow.

You're right Bear.....it is such a loss of time and energy. There seems to be a swarm of them infesting FF just lately...........must be something in the water,

One word : all of this for the true people/new trader which truly wants to make living thru forex trading for their family,future etc and

His method kinda dangerous for the newbie.Lets said they can gain in this current situation,but am believe they wont success in future,Its about people mindset which will form later when trading

The small uptrend this pair has been in since the all time low at 75.96 is about to break. A clear close below 76.75 will do the trick.

Jpy, again, is showing strenght towards Usd/Eur/Chf/Aud en Cad. This clearly shows that markets are afraid of Boj stepping in ;-)

I think people underestimate how long it could take for price to get to their target. In some cases it may never. I wouldn't want to be in a trade that never reaches my target with no stop loss. Yikes!

Picked this up: "EURJPY Hitting day's lows of 104.81 with talk that the Chinese have declined to buy Italian debt"

Perhaps it ain't true, but it clearly shows that uncertainty is what's keeping Usd/Jpy (and other Jpy related pairs in general) from taking off. This pair can go either very fast either way, so again, stops are a must !

The RSI trendline is still intact making higher lows. The trend is still intact today. The trendline must break for USDJPY to turn bearish. This is a H4 chart.

As of January 2011, Japan's public debt was more than 200 percent of its annual gross domestic product, the largest of any nation in the world.

16% of there exports are to the U.S.

My theory is that this instrument has a support in the 70 area that is essential to Japanese exports. (theory based)

Analysis;

I have a tentative support on the month at 76.481
and an actual support at 76.048

Prediction; Bullish to R1 or R2 on my chart

I'd be very careful if trading this pair, daytrading only, no overnighters. This pair can go either way, violently. Not something you want to be in if the position goes against you, due to both slippage and scale of possible move.

If Japanese intervene it will go parabolic, if not, it could dive due to increasing uncertainty. In short, not worth risking your account for.

After several week I am observes,I am believe we should have an "actual resistance" or "Seller" which really back up at one key level in this pairs and I try carefully study and look and "personally" I think may be located in 77.87 level

Below only forecast,I am not truly correct yet because I am still dont know if this pattern valid or not so just take a relax and dont make an complaint if some of you might be dont like

I think I may have identified the price channel that contains the price action of USDJPY. The only thing that bothers me about it is the bar of 8/25 where price pierced the top for a an hour or so. If this is the channel, the PA should bounce around this level (76.80) and head to the top of the channel again to 78 for a test. As you can see, the trendline on the RSI (bottom of chart) that goes all the way back to the middle of July is still holding nicely. The next few hours will tell the story. If the RSI trendline breaks, IŽll close my long.

Yes. This is the 5th test of the bottom wall of the channel and the 12th test of the RSI trendline. I feel it is well established, BUT it must hold here if my 100+ theory is to remain viable.
