It is Greece ... and since my early childhood I have never had the feeling that they are Europeans ...

Sorry ... aber das muss einfach mal gesagt sein ...

And even when it belongs somehow to Europe ... it is somehow "schon ganz schön anders" ...

Possibly the Euro will spike around then somehow ... like hell ...

Possibly more than today ...

Overall that so-called EUROPE is a little bit more at it's real core then ...

I do like the "old Europe" without all those superficial participitiants ... which somehow does not belong to us ...

Ist irgendwie auch eine Frage des "Stallgeruchs" ...

hope all is well. In these days I am running really really short on time, hence my silence :-( Hope things get better soon when my new team is up to speed


Hmmm, strategical thought based on levels? I think, that levels alone can not be used to take decisions. One have to count the waves at the levels and watch carefully momentum at various TF`s.

The spike up today was first thought to be a wave 4, but now I have severe doubts about that count, since the drop after the spike is with much momentum (talking about acceleration).

Best strategic decision may be to short the bounces and avoiding to fish the bottoms, since I think, that we might be in an downward accelerating environment.

I know that there are counts out, that see a sharp move up beyond 1.45, but I have no faith in this counts, since the fundis right now support the USD more than the EUR.

Right now we are dropping out of the base channel of the last days. That is typical for an accelerating move. At the moment I am carefully watching the process, since this "overshoot" (or do one say "undershoot" beyond the lower channel line might be a typical sign of a wave 5, but momentum on lower TF's does not favor that.

When I got time this night I will post a chart.

@ Mercy...I dont think you could have said it any better, sounds like music in my ears and i would have to agree...todays EU rally probably will pale if the Greeks are made to (voluntarily) exit. Maybe EUCHF style .

Die Tommys sind für mich schon eher problematisch ...

Sind irgendwo Arschkriecher bei den Amis ...

UK does not really belong to that as well ...

They are Europeans ... shure ...

But somehow it is gut that they are sitting on their Iland there ...

True, a lot of emotional and sentimental stuff in your post, none of which (as we all agree), has any fundamental or let alone technical value for Euro-bound currency pairs.
Kicking Greece out of the zone would literally mean give the rest shovels so they can start digging currency graves and use their remaining paper Euros to wipe their asses off with, alright... what am I saying, Greece out of the Euro zone is the beginning of the end of the Euro.

good question :-)

Most of the time one can only differentiate after the fact :-(

Sometimes you can observe another behavior in momentum:

normally in currencies wave 3 carries the most momentum, in C waves you can often see, that its subwave 5 carries the most momentum. But I would not bet on that.

All in all it is all about the long and mid term count and the probability for differing counts within them.

Look at fundis right now: do they support your view, or do they support more my view?

BTW: Prechter has us in an impulse down (wave 3), Lara from elliottwaveforex.com too.

The only ABC move I can imagine, is, that we are in wave 5 of a leading diagonal (down), that started at 1.49x

Well that's a big call, especially the SURE, the NEVER and the PERIOD.

You only were born a couple of years ago, (a few decades) and unfortunately you'll die soon (in a few decades).

Off to watch some football. At least EURO 2012 in Poland and Ukraine is a safe bet, it'll happen even if the joint currency disappears, there's still gonna be some Złoty around

The following chart explains 3 different scenarios

1.If we break and close below the monthly trendline then double top will be confirmed and we go lower

2.If we break the weeklymonthly trendline+we break the Very critical level of 1.5766 we go down due to confirmation of break of Double top Neckline.

3.There is a bullish ascending triangle if we hold above the monthly trendline we could now break higher towards 1.7000
