I think we're talking about the same thing here, spike, whipsaw, what ever. As you said the market moves 20 pips easily and regularly, so more chance of getting taken out.

This is from Todd Brown's Trading Authority training and is several years old. Those of you that were students/clients recognize this. This 5 steps analogy is really only the tip of the iceberg.

Todd is an incredible mentor and truly revolutionized the emphasis on trading psychology and teaching traders to overcome psychological barriers using Neural Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Neural Associative Conditioning (NAC).

He continues to be the leader trading education for retail traders like us as well as institutional traders. His methods changed my trading approach radically.

His work continues to be cutting edge and he is sought out regularly by all of the major trading floors, exchanges and prop rooms for his unmatched ability to get traders in the right trading state of mind.

I owe him a tremendous amount for his patience and knowledge.

Hi MrOFU!

Yes, it is my thread on Kroufr. I started the Kroufr thread because I wanted to discuss my own TDI-way (and I stated this purpose at the beginning of the Kroufr thread). In a month and a half I refined my own TDI successful strategy and helped other traders to master TDI.

Maintaining a very popular 110+ pages' thread is a big responsibility and it takes at least 2-3 hours per day (it is TOO MUCH for me, I can't afford it), and since I already did my best helping people to master TDI and gave the thread-readers everything I've got, I decided to leave the Kroufr thread and say "Good-bye".

P.S. Sorry for the off-top, but I had to answer this question here, not via PM, because MrOFU is not the only Kroufr trader who reads this thread.

The benefit is one can see candle patterns but also with heiken ashi colours,sometimes the colour of heiken ashi might not represent the bullish or bearish sentiment of the true candle line

Don't know. Todd has been trading/training for over 15 years. Hard to say who the originator is, but this is where I was first exposed to it.

Dean! I feel your pain. For years I thought if I could make money at Higher time frames then I could make more by drilling down. The Reality is that the Higher time frames allow us a dream lifestyle: Work 30 minutes a day and return 10% on our money consistently every month. The small time frames allow us to fullfill our greed factor by chasing every pip. When in fact we work ten times harder for very little return.

Here is my Back test of 3 pairs since January of this year. Using Daily charts and using Opening price for entry and exit price. Sticking to the strict system rules and only taking trades that show overbought/sold in either stochs or TDI and bounce trades. I split the charts in half so you can see all trades.

have you backtested only visual, or you chek what was the price evry day you open and close a trade?
you know, hiekn ashi is average bars, so if you only backtested in visual mode, there is a lot of possibilities that it doesn't match the reality!!

if you have made the test, watching at price in numbers and not only in candles designed, is a very good thing!!

I totally agree and might add:

Number two most postings which are a waste of time and space are the silly, redunderant, off topic questions from new readers. (not always)

Number one; you guessed it. The replies to these questions from senior, more knowledgable (??) people in the thread. These replies sometimes outnumber the questions 3 or 4 times. If you think this number is wrong read (lol) any thread here in FF.

One solution would be; don't reply to the question, encourage newbee's find their own answers, their own solutions. This can only help them in the long run. Not only that, think of the space it would save.

no one is forgotten or left behind?I agree with you in one sense but everyone has to learn,whrn reading a thread i usually scim through posts but when I get to one with some meat i slow down and reread

Great setups, great trades. Unfortunately the market is not perfect and doesn't give us these nice waves at all times...%95 would be successful if it did...

Hi all,

Entered daily on below chart after diagonal support has turned to diagonal resistance in very long term down trend(solid red line)

Cross on TDI, with the trend and good resistance.

Trade is locked in.

Anyone else see this?
