How do you people see a Senat debt ceiling vote in terms of an effect it will/might have on dollar strength? If Senat approves raise of the debt, would it launch dollar index higher (JPY&CHR relief) or would it mean risk on and consequently dollar index lower?

My idea is that if the US senate raises the debt ceiling, the weakness of the euro will be exposed as market will refocus on the euro debt problem which is much more complicated. That should strengthen the dollar against the euro. just my tots anyway.

Interesting...thanks for the info.

I'm in Europe and have no idea about it except for forexfactory note saying most of the banks in AUD won't work today thus lower volatility can be expected.

It's going to be impossible to know what the decision will do to the dollar in terms of short term reactions. Regardless of the outcome I believe people will rebalance and like said before the focus will shift back on the euro

i did not take this one.. cause i am already in.. but if we do break north and get above 4438 4477.. then 4545 and or 4596 may be on some charts.

41 gonna be the tell....looking to C what the PA looks like there for F-in sure....I still think 42 is gonna be the gateway.....41 falls then 37 might be on the table as well

atm your below 4438... so its bearish... the next one will be below 4277.. as long as we close today below 4438. if we close today at 4277 .. 4225 will have attraction. bulls dont want to be below that one.. with momentum. hell they don't want to be below 4438 atm.. if course none of this is given.. it has to be earned. still can be crazy until we get the politics/budget settled. 4391 is probably a bigger # then 4438..
