Bubba, 2% in just 15 hours is too good, what settings you have? is there a better pair you notice?

Started on demo 5-24 as of now (5-26) it has made 497 pips.

11 pairs 4H chart trading 24 hours.

I've been out of town for work for the past 3 weeks so I have not had the ea running. Will play with it some more when I get home next week

Pipnoob, what time frames do you use? No adjustment on stop loss?

I am hoping to make a simple EA bu don't know the first thing about coding. Essentially, when the Top Trend indicator shows a trend on a higher timeframe, I see potential for good trades to be made on the lower timeframe/s after a pullback and resumption of the trend. I have attached a screen shot to explain. The screen shot shows the Top Trend setting of 80 in yellow and white on the 1 hr EURUSD chart (which is essentially the default setting of 20 for the 4hr chart if that makes sense, I just put 80 on the 1 hr screen so I can see potential more clearly without having to put in verticle lines and change timeframes to view). The Red and blue are the default setting of 20 for the 1 hr chart). It really is quite simple and I believe profitable (particularly if we pay attention to divergence to hint the trend is coming to an end). The Top Trend setting can be played with for better entries also and for closer trailing stop levels.
Essentially, once the 4hr chart gives a confirmed change in direction at either the close of the candle or perhaps 10 pips past the current top trend directional line (which ever comes first I suppose) we could open a trade and close it out when the 1 hr candle closes below/above the current top trend indicator. We then reopen a trade when the 1 hr top trend indicator resumes with the 4 hr trend either at the close of the 1 hr candle or say 10 pips past the current 1 hr top trend directional line, again, which ever comes first).
I have attached the indicator for you also.

I am wondering if you can help with this if you are not too busy.

More timeframes can be traded for extra action also, ie. trade 15mins also when the 4 hr and 1 hr line up. Settings lower than 20 maybe better also to tighten the stops. Not sure excactly what setting but the EA could allow the user to determine?

Ill-b-back, I fail to recognise the relevance of your 3 postings to the theme of this thread. How are these postings connected with creation of an EA for the Trading MAde Simple method of BigE?

Some further developments of an EA for the original method ( or a nice time saving dashboard) would be helpful.

Hi Forex 37, I'm really sorry I have ususally stuck to the interactive trading thread and I really just wanted to get in contact with Steve for some coding. I noticed this thread and saw Steves name mentioned quite prominently for ea coding and thought I would just try to contact him.

Correct RT. This is not a set it and forget it 24/5 EA method. This method needs to take hostage of all of the usual suspects (Price Action, S/R, Candle Size, and most of all Time of Day) before implementing. Semi-Auto could be useful here but mostly this method should have human, not AI intervention. imho. If you need to use an EA to trade this, yoyo (you're on your own)

Hi

Has anyone been playing around with the EA that was posted? I am doing some experimenting using it with some minor changes to see how it works on the Daily time frame. I am just letting it run, 24 hours, on 9 pairs to see what it will do on its own without any intervention from me. At this time it has 2 open trades, as can be seen on the Dash Board in the screen shot. Way to early to post any changes I have made to the EA as I have only been running it since Friday.
It looks for entries on the Daily time frame and uses the M30 to pick a good entry for the daily time frame. I have also added an exit when the TDI reverses to see if that will work and make it stand alone. At present I send a TP of 400 pips with the order, but will exit if the TDI reverses before it hits 400 pips profit. I am working on a SL based on the ATR at this time but haven't implemented it yet. The trade taken in the screen shot just happened a bit ago and the other one was opened I believe last Friday. Watching the Daily is like watching grass grow, but can bring in some good pips, will see how it goes, will take some time to test as I only test in real time. Right now testing is on a demo account, but after a couple weeks if it looks good I will move it to a live penney account. Also may try it on the H1 and H4.

Not much free time to watch the screen, thats why I am testing on the Daily.

I backtested it a little with different settings, but wasn't good; not with your settings though. It could be a good idea I think to only enter if confirmation from lower TFs (customizable). Candle size probably can be added too (there were some numeric examples in the main thread), also TDI slope (plamen TDI), stoch direction, S/R zones. Probably, again, I'm not a coder .

Where did you get the TMS EA DB V1? I can not find it on this site.

This is a separate program I wrote that gathers information that the EA has written to a file and placed in the "Files" folder. It makes it easier to watch more than one pair at a time and lets you see what is going on with all the pairs you have the EA running on. I added some extra code to the original EA to write this file and the DB program is a separate ".exe" program written in the old language of VB6. You can turn the Dash Board collection code on or off from a setting in the EA or you can turn on "Screen Info" that gives you the same information without the DB but puts it on the chart, as shown below.

Those things could be added, but I am going to see how it runs as is with the present settings. After forward testing for a few weeks I will take a look at the bad trades that lost and see what could be added to keep out of them without the good trades being eliminated. Get rid of the bad but keep all the good. Sounds like an impossible end to get to but maybe we can get as close as we can. Some call it the "Holy Grail". If we can get maybe 85 to 90 per cent to that end and then just add the last bit from our own brain to finish the trade we could have a great system.

The second one is missing the trade arrow because I restarted the program after the trade was taken, but you can see the dotted lines where the trade was taken.
