The exit was based on time of day, want to be out before the cash close.

It would have been possible to get out with a full point profit, but I am trying use Delta bars and high volume bars to exit and one did not show up.

hmmmmm eu 30min and 1h does look kinda bullish. but im gonna go out on a limb and call a dip under 4100 by close tomorrow, maybe 4050. i think 4050 has not been tested since it broke, neither has 4000.

its been 350 pips pretty much straight up without any retrace, and i think the lack of volume last 2 days may be indicating the gas to push it up isnt there at the moment. oil has been flying again today which should help eu but hasnt. slight focus switch to ireland and portugal again, if they want to dip it a bit to refuel longs then that will be the excuse the media will pin on the drop.

i trade 5min charts anyway so i might still wake up for london open and find a long, im just not convinced this is going up to 4280 tomorrow

agreed, was long right after the shakeout just after 14:00 GMT, but just got stopped out at BE...waiting to see what Tokyo brings before going back in. my target is 4240 (today's developing POC). Reaction there will be key IMO, as today's profile looks like a non-trend day, which could signal a retrace is looming.

EDIT: for what it's worth, EU M15 may have just put in a double bottom, which if plays out puts an upside target at 4242...coincidence...

Futures chart on the hourly is even clearer IMHO. I've highlighted key bars with blue vertical lines (much quicker than loading into photoshop lol).

Key for me is that on the key volume bars the 'lows' are higher.

Any thoughts on oil? I looked at this at the weekend and saw SOS - I can see us hitting the previous high of 108 this week, and probably beyond next week.

I assume you still have to use your brokers volume feed though? Just get all the fancy tradeguider trade symbols?

Yes. Gavin's been flashing up screenshots over the last few TG sessions. I guess they'll do a full overview at tomorrow's MT4 specific session. I've not heard Gavin specifically talk about which MT4 broker to use; I believe he uses FXCM for the demo. $750 seems reasonable, given it includes the $500 VSA club yearly membership.

The MT4 plugin just seems too much like Tradeguider-lite (no scanner), although at $250 I guess it's not too bad. I think I'll attend tomorrow's session and see/learn more re the MT4 version. (There's a Tradestation one that should be out any time now too)

On an EU note, nice shakeout underway ... 4166 reached ... I'd be a comfortable buyer if it got as far as 4140 (prev low, POC, & all kinds of support) - that'd be 100 pips off the current top, and I'd feel pretty good about another stab towards there and 4280 - we're due for a retrace - Wednesday trading could be interesting for many reasons. Hard to guage what makes for stopping volume during Asia - haven't had an Asia shakeout for ages. GU behaving similarly.

Didn't get around to posting this earlier, took a trade on 5min Eddie today. Traded a small amount on my account as Intel suggested trying. 20pip stop/target and profit was where i've marked on the chart. Finspreads missed it by a pip unfortunately and I got out on the retrace down for +7pips as I had to go out. Woulda got there if i'd left it run, but didn't fancy it.

Entered on the high of the NS and my stop was a couple of pips below the low.

Edit - Also, just back from winning a game of poker, won more from that than this trade

EU was a rough one today... nice move down this afternoon but all in all, very boring.

So since bandung was nice enough to add a few features to my PRZ R&V indicator that I uploaded (which I like I might add) I decided to take what he coded and added one more item... Second line item called "Type" tells you quickly if a bar is and UB, DB or closed as same level as previous. Blue = upbar, Red = downbar and Yellow = same close.

So now one can quickly see range, volume, close relative to range and type of bar (i.e. upbar, downbar). This is a nice add to the Better Volume Indicator for MT4 users. Many thanks bandung for the adds and I hope others find this useful.

The colors are the same for range and volume... if higher than previous it will print Blue etc...

As for the Close %, Blue is if it closes in the over 50%, Red is under and Yellow is 50% on the nose. 100% = close on high and 0% is close on low.

This is why I wanted to see at a glance if a 100% bar was a downbar or upbar... this way if you see like 88%, upbar and increased volume you could be looking at a SO...

Anyway now people have 3 choices if they want to use one of the range / volume indicators.

Just put the sell stop at 1.4157

Look at the Upbar & Volume is lower then last 10 candle..

Trand looks bearish ..

Lets Hope i am correct.

Any web based chart provider that can view vol info??

I have metatrader with vol but it is @ home.. and my Live acc broker doesn't provide forex vol info..

Hi Sonic, i have been using Teamviewer which is a remote log in, i can log into my home computer from work computer or with iphone app. Just google and download, great for iphone as all the broker apps are crap and with this you have everything on your home comp at hand.
