Welcome back, good to hear from you!
To answer some of your questions-
Trade Explorer (Forex Factory) updates without having to Login to MT4, but my Myfxbook.com March 2011 account will not. Basically, I login for 5 minutes on MT4 and Myfxbook.com updates shortly after. I still trade solely on FXTrade.
I've traded as low as 5000 units on demo (testing it out) and did 9000 units live. So my supposition is that you can trade 1000 units or more, in increments of 1000 units (not 1053, not 10250, etc.) for MT4 to 'report' correctly.
About spreads, I'm not sure what to think. Is Oanda trying to make more money, or are Oanda's liquidity providers raising their spreads?
Last Thursday, I had 1.0 spreads. Then NFP, I had a 0.9 spread all morning! Today, back to 1.2 spread and it was slow after London closed. It took a long time to make 9-10 pips.
I hope I answered your questions.
Good Luck!
