do you think the 1.5 trillion usd that are moved in the interbank trading day by day are aiming for stops? i don't think that brokers have any significant effect on price movement, at least as long as london is open.

Food for thought might be the rejection at the same price market opened up at yesterday, 1.3507.

What we have seen is that EU opened NY at the bottom of it's swing and has bought back up to daily roll over. Now that they have covered longs, you might wanna think about how this line of rejection and the Asian session shorts will impact the balance of the NY session...

Food for thought...this might be it.

I see, you are looking for a 800 - 1000 pip move to the upside, and what stop size are you employing or is this one of those trades that you don't employ a stop loss? Hedging maybe?

This region on the chart for EU is more than likely going to be some buyers around here, no doubting that.

1.3400 - 1.3450 buying zone, but I don't need Volume to tell me that.

I certainly would not be anticipating a 800 to 1000 pip move to the upside...

the futures confirm that this is no glitch. there also was a big vol surge.
it seems to have been hit hard in a very high vol spot.

i have startet to get a little into vsa. i have no doubt about its relevance in the stock market. i think for understanding forex the best think one can do is trying to understand how the "big money" is moved. i don't think that the interbank trading or hedging activities of big companies are so speculative motivated to hunt for stops...are they?

again i want to bring in my point of using correlation for aproximating real volume. look at the dialy chart of usd/chf and eur/chf, after a the weakness of chf in the past weeks it seems to stenghen. despite the strong downturn of eur/usd it could prevail over usd today. today most of the eur/x and usd/x crossrates were highly correlated to eur/usd so obviously EU was traded with a very high volume. but chf seems to be supported by a much higher volume. observing chf might be intersting in the next days.
i'm curious about announcements tomorrow. volume of eur/usd might be explosive, but for me it's more interesting to see how the other crossrates behave when volume on EU weakens.

Hmm ... strange such hight volume on that recent spike - 6E below shows much like CitiBank EURUSD.

Yes Magix it could be stopping volume if the volume is correct on Dr. Gs chart. We should take care when using this type of bar. It is also an Up thrust which would indicate weakness but the volume is ultra high which can change things a bit. It is also an ultra high volume down bar which indicates strength. This is one of those times when we need to check the following bars to see whats going on.

all this food talk is making me hungry....

Since the 30M 50ema has contained price topside since Feb. 10th. until we close above it, it's just a useful entry exit point as we move down the channel (my prior chart). If we breakout, then it will put the topside targets into play. WS1 and 1H utl are the interim breakout lines I'm watching. With the 15m pin rejection a potential retest of support first seems likely.


Nothing wrong with MACD if it's calibrated properly. Most people have it set so it moves like molasses.

Thanks for thinking about me but, my works computer doesnt have java enabled and I dont have access to change it. I can see some other charts but they dont have volume and some aren't up to date
