You see if we blindly open sell order right after candle open, we could bag 60 pips. But if we wait for her up pullback could be 100 pips.

This is rarely happen. As intraday trader I try to gather everything at the beginning of day and will pay attention to this kind of candle.

I will quote wise words from Cobby's post above 'not a big enough reason to trade on its own but useful as extra confluence...at the right time. as always trust only your own proven research...

based on a bit of maths around the fibonacci golden ratio of 0.618

100 * 0.618 = 61.8
61.8 * 0.618 = 38.2
38.2 * 0.618 = 23.6
23.6 * 0.618 = 14.6
going one more
14.6 * 0.618 = 9

with 100 - 14.6 = 85.4 fib
similar to 76.4 being 100 - 23.6...

with the 50 fib natrually being the midpoint of the extremes

the two preceding numbers added together = the next in the series and so on......

morning guys,

I'm out for today as I don't like the NFP....or maybe just some 20-30 scalps

the problem is that everybody expects the gbp to go up and retest the 1.6298...
GBP and USD is nearly equal now in strenght so could not tell what will do especially that we have the damn news

and eur usd dropped some pips that means we might as well go down from 1.6193

just reading some info from diff websites in regards to NFP.they say it will be good for USD ....looking at my charts as I previous stated the USD gained strenght and GBP lost some and are quite equal now.....but as news and ''official info'' are ment to manipulate I don't buy it I just wait for the fireworks and later light my own one

I preffer them as well but as I don't know what the data means in numbers I'm just going to stay on the bench.weekend is coming now and I like to relax and not be stressed about a trade still opened

and still the price has to go to test 1.6298 at one point....maybe next week,maybe next year.....

1.6060(1.6048 +confort level) as TP for short and 1.6193 as TP for long....if 1.6193 breached.....

p.s. I also preffer the sell as the pound will soon be under USD as value acc to ichi.....and that only means down move

NFP reputedly a bit of a lottery, but still worth buying a ticket if you don't think the odds are 50:50. I've bought a down ticket at 6168; US news will be good and my expectation is that GU will react to it the same as it did yesterday. The EU bulls are apparently 'disappointed' over now diminished likelihood of an ECB rate rise, and I think that carries over to our bulls too, regardless of the thoughts of the odd MPC member and BoE policymaker. GU perhaps overpriced for now with the moderately improving USD outlook.

As always PA leads the way, and I'm ready to change my mind if I'm wrong.

this I agree with but I still do not trade the news as I don't trust them.
Just look at the price now,40 pips down and this might be anticipation of the downmove.or is it only in our brains? do we see only what our eyes want to see? only what makes us confortable ?

I mean there might be a leak and traders anticipate the moment and the NFP will just continue the down trend but what if it happens as it happened some 2 months ago where the results were opposite?
even if all my signals tell me sell selll sellllllllll I still don't jump.I could have been 40 pips up so far and this is just the beginning

please find the chart below dynamic range pointing south,RSI above 70,stochs above 80,KS flat line to attract the price,cross on 1H for south,and GBP already weaker than USD.
as previous mentioned the downmove started yesterday needs a pull back to help TS and KS cross.next cross will be the H4 and then daily......

on H4 we have the same pattern of the breakout of the trendline
first it goes to the TL,it tests it,if it brakes in order to be a true breakout it has to come back to the trendline and then bounce back

what I see now next target 1.6060-1.6085,retrace to 1.6160 and down again 1.5750

actually I am right as the cross on H4 could never be done unless it goes down now and then retraces to that level

let's see if it happens
