I found this thread in regards to adding a wait time before subsequent trades - im just not sure WHERE it actually needs to go to be most efficient ?

Is it basically right before the OrderSend ? If so, then that isnt very efficient is it since the code will do all the functionality up to that point and is wasted.

Any ideas appreciated.

The linked thread was a bunch of amateurish rubbish. Keep track of the number of open trades and set a user specified maximum open.

Has anyone got some sample code on how to accomplish this type of wait time before the next trade - i would like to actually use X bars as the wait period.

Ie, there is an open trade on, (if we are on m5) i want to wait 5 m5 bars before entering a new trade on this pair.

Any code i can lift appreciated

ok i do need to re-phrase what im after here - i actually dont want to trade too soon after a recent trade - ie, wait X bars before next trade.

I've included an image below of what i DO NOT want to happen - there may be a scenario where a trade is open and closed all on the same bar, then the next bar it opens a whole new trade based on the same rules - i want to ensure after the first attempt, it will wait a period of X bars before placing a new trade.

Hopefully someone has done something similar before, much appreciate your help.
