I got the same spike on MT4 IBFX (demo). I checked with other MT4 brokers and none of them had that spike. Price didn't even reached that high on the others.

Thanks for your info but my account is real, not a demo. Anyone with real accounts please experiencing the same issue?

Hi...I have a real account with IBFX and there is no spike on that pair in the mentioned period...Could be only on the demo..

After few hours the spike from the 4h is gone, but the 1min remains, how weird is this? Tell you that, very weird.

I have the same spike right now ... I also noticed more spikes then normal this week on IBFX ...

I don't use stop losses and I don't overleverage recently so I don't care ... they do last like 2 minutes though ....

I wonder should we report them to NFA or something ? They're definitely trying to do something ... or really having issues ...

I've used IBFX for over a year (among others) and have never really noticed anything like this before. It used to be forex.com that had the problems

Anyway, as someone previously said... now it's making me nervous. I hope IBFX has a good explanation. We'll see what happens, I guess.

I'm definantly going to contact them, I lost money due to this spike. They're either illegally hitting stops or having severe technical issues.
I closed one trade while the drop was occuring, saw the profit and closed it. They removed the trade and profit and left me with a loss.

I received an email from IBFX they credited my account for $22.something so about 220 pips for the spike.

The problem should have never occoured in the first place for one, and secondly are they tripping stops just to hope "some" wont file a ticket. I am now currently researching my next broker. I understand the fluctuations in spreads, prices, and volatility but somethings are uncalled for, at least fix your mistakes in a proffesional manner if you have an "error".

Today, January 14th we experienced a pricing anomily that resulted in price spikes for most currency pairs at 18:06, 18:07, 18:11 and 18:12 GMT.

The prices flowed correctly through our system. As indicated in our risk disclosure and customer agreements one of the risks associated with trading forex is that there is no central exchange or accepted price. As in this case, this can result in prices that are not in line with prices being presented from other sources.

We have reviewed these price spikes and have decided that as a gesture of goodwill to our customers we will credit losses that resulted from trades closing during this time period..... "

Gee thanks, really it should read we F'd up and will pay for our mistake, I received something similar from FXCM when they screwed something up, they told me they would pay this time, but next time it was on me...I closed positions on my MT4 platform, but it did not close in their proprietary trading software (read only program as I use MT4), yup totally my fault thanks for paying me back. No broker is perfect as long as in the end they pay up for their mistakes.

My thoughts exactly. I'm seriously considering changing brokers. IBFX can't be trusted.
