Wide spreads (on most pairs they charge about 1.5 to 2+ pips over the best market rates), platform freezes also random widening even when there's no news (smells like stop hunting). Their spreads are near the high end of whats available - http://www.fxintel.com/live/
i used to be with ibfx but it was a nighmare compared to another broker i tried called fxpro changed to fxpro my personal opinion is fxpro is much much better .... just try

1)spreads lower than most brokers i think they are the lowest in the industry after oanda

2)much less requotes than ibfx

3)MT4

4)Forex, indexes, futures, cfd's

5)no problem with scalping

6)support is BETTER than ibfx,

7)have callback so u dont even have to bother to call them for any info

8)international toll free numbers

9)minilots

10)no charge for deposit AND WITHDRAWAL

12)large company with lot of accounts

15)they have many servers and divide their customers to certain servers depending on ur account number so servers are not overloaded

16)most of their customers are satisfied check oline reviews on forexpeacearmy you wont have 100% satisfaction but it has many positiv reviews far more than most other brokers

17)I have a statement of a trader who took 5k to 200k on fxpro and they paid his profits so i personally dont think they disconnect you or trade against you or.

18)I have compared the price feed to many different brokers and its one of the most consistent and no weird spikes compared to other brokers and not much deviation so once again dont think there broker manipulation

drawback is for withdrawals its little longer process but i think thats ok considering they dont charge a fee (wire transfer) and this broker has so many plus points


i have accounts in gain.com,fxcm micro, ibfx, alpari, and fxpro so far i found fxpro to be the best

for those of you still looking or unsatisfied with your current broker just try fxpro like i said its not perfect but its the best option for those of u looking for a marketmaker.
So BIG DEAL Interbank FX has penny trades and no serious platform or trade EXECUTION problems. Today I tried a high rated system that doesn't use stops. A few hundred trades, different strategies, and a notebook full of similar pattern drawings, why even bother trading. If it's in fact not Interbank, if it's Forex, then it's more like Borex, the recurring manipulation pattern, and if I try to counter the pattern, it's THE pattern. There is something very specifically suspect about Interbank FX. The reality seems THEY the Inter Banks are in full control from the very start of every trade. If I buy THEY sell, if I sell THEY buy, if I hedge THEY flatten it, if I reverse THEY reverse. I don't know what others experience is with this broker, but to me, it seems like the trades are not real, like the trades are not entered in the real market somehow. I am going to try more trading outside of Interbank FX so I can see if it's THEM or Forex. Weird A while back, I printed a trade and showed it to my brother, THEY hit my stop perfectly to the pip then circled up very close to my target, my brother kind of dismissed it until it happened to him. This market should be regulated, but not by THEM. MY RATING: F

Well...I am not an employee of IBFX....

I trade with 6 different brokers.

They are all basically the same....meaning the charts and how the currencies react.

I make money from all of them. I make many, many pips per week.

IBFX is the only american broker out of the lot of them, and I trust them a bit more than any of the others, but they have all treated me fine...with execution, charting, and withdrawals.

So...I don't beleive anyone is just after your trades...that is pretty conceited thinking if you ask me.

Just learn how to trade and learn how to do it without emotion.

I'm with ibfx currently. No complaints at all. I"ve scalped with success and traded higher frames with success. I don't care that they take the other side of my trade as most retailers do anyway. As far as reqoutes go, I've never been with a broker that I didn't experience requotes. I don't trade news or try and scalp crazy volitility anyway. Intraday hedging.. don't care. But if that's your style, i guess that would suck.

The brokers that HAVE screwed things up on me in a big way.. Oanda and CMS back in the day when they couldn't keep a connection worth a damn. Oanda acknowledged a system hickup where a profitable open position just disappeared out of nowhere but then refused to do anything about it.

One of the reasons I chose ibfx is because they're local to me and I had met the principles quite a while ago when they were smaller. I know or used to know quite a few of the employees and grilled a few of them about spreads, execution, liquidity providers etc. After a few years of grilling I finally committed and I'm happy with my decision. Yes, it took me about 5 years to finally get on board with them. I wish I had done the same with Oanda and CMS. The only other broker I"ve used is Forex Solutions. They were fine, but their platforms suck for my style. I think I've still got some money there, but I lost all of my account info years ago.

What happened to IBFX UK ?
The worst thing I can be is the same as everybody else. I hate that.
The real question is, who in their right mind would trade with a blatant scam such as IBFX?
Last week, the IBFX live mini server and platform froze and I had to call them twice and let them know it was broke, I was on hold for several minutes while they fiddle farted a'rd verifying the problem, thanked ME for alerting them to the problem (!!!!!) Profuse apologies, assurances about the Future, etc, etc.... I also had my account password changed without my knowledge and no one could tell me why or who did it. I was locked out of my account requiring yet a third call to get things reset.

Just now Sunday evening, same problem, same fiddle farting a'rd, no awareness of problem until I called them ((or so they say))... I closed my trades at small losses over the phone and I intend at this time to close my account with them tommorrow.

I've been a long time customer of theirs, i've defended them in the past and altho I have had problems in the past that eventually got resolved , I always had prompt and decent customer service on the phone.

I DO NOT believe they're a scam as others here have posted as I define that with intent to defraud and so on....

But... it also appears the Dark Old Days may be returning where overall platform performance is eroding and an increase of related issues (requotes in non-volatile trading action, "Please Wait" mssg's, etc...) that "seem" to be overly weighted in their favor are making inroads into their corporate policies once more... and I won't endure that again.

Good luck with the media praise and awards... you may need them.

To be fair, the only good thing I can say right now is that one of the reasons I keep their 1m chart handy is to check the time stamps when price isn't in step with my FXSol charts, that's the first sign...

I first try to execute a change in any Open orders (doesn't matter what really) like Closing the trade or at least resetting the SL or anything that will enter a time stamp into the Journal log that verifies you had a non responsive platform. I do that with one hand while hitting speed dial on the other....

To date, they have never failed to give me the price at the time of my Journal log entry that shows I tried to close the trade even if the price on the server when it came back up is dozens of pips away like happened tonite.. or if the price exceeded the previously set SL.

I have had that experience a fair number of times over the last few years, but not lately. My experience so far has been that once it starts, it goes on for awhile. Hopefully not this time...

Swap (Rollover) Rates

Pair Buy Sell
Eur/Aud 1.6800 -0.4900
Gbp/Nzd 1.4200 -1.1500

These are just some of the strange rollover rates. I'm no expert, but I think that selling Eur/Aud would deserve a positive swap rate, and buying it would get a negative one. This is because Aud has a 4.50% interest rate, and the Euro has 1% only.

For those who know why this is so, please educate me why. Thanks!

I had a carry in EUR/AUD and now it became negative! How come??
Others brokers didn't changed rate!
So now buying EUR/AUD will give positive swap? it's impossible!

Those are great questions. My name is Ben Schneider and I work in the Account Relations within Interbank FX. It is important to note that when calculating swap (either positive or negative ) in a carry trade, the swap rates can change at any time. Not only are the swap rates a reflection of the varying interests rates applicable to the given currency pairs traded, but in calculating what swap rates apply, Interbank FX needs to consider the interest rates that we receive from our liquidity providers. Not every broker receives their liquidity from exactly the same sources, thus the swap rates will not always be in line simultaneously at any given time. Hopefully this helps with your questions.

That still doesn't answer his question on why EURAUD was inversed.
