Ur right V, the 60sma angle gives a direction:up, down, ranging when 60sma is flat. Also 26sma angle should show same direction with 60sma(sometimes altough 26sma below 60sma, its angle gose up and mkt's changing). In addition, in good trade pattern, the 60sma should above/below on the other two ma lines, otherwise, mkt is ranging too and this strategy dosent work at that time----i give an example above.

Thanks Jag, the SR is very helpful to expect the target. Im still working on my exit and your charts gives me some hints. For the entry and adding position, hl/lh is pretty good.

For what its worth the 26 sma is pretty close to 1 hr 8lwma equivalent on 15 min chart, that's the basic trend guide I used.

Also interesting that eyevoltage uses similar set up to you ie good angle and separation on ma's (he uses different ones but thats actually not even close to being an issue) good candles/patterns in direction of trend.

Anyway now all I've got to do is figure out how the heck you press those buttons sssoooooooo quick to get in 2-4 trades at almost the same time, never mind thats too much for my old brain!!

Bottom line your simple methods to get potential set ups with entries from hl/lh's will help lots of people I'm sure.

I'v learned a lot from others and its time to give back. One thing I learn about candlestick is that NOT every candlestick is useful, u hv to find out the efficient one. Usually these ones near close to MAs---coz the efficient candlesticks determine the angle of MA. I'll post pics here everyday(hopefully) to explain them deeply. They r not complicated, u just hv to remember the patterns, repeat to trade them more and money will come to u consistently.

usd: eu,gu,nu,au....uc,uj(negative correlation)
jpy:gj,uj,ej,aj,nj
eur:eu,ej,ec,eg
gbp:gu,gj,gc....eg
chf:uc,gc,ec.....cj

NOTICE i watch the pairs' price action of one group at same time but NOT trade all of them simultaneously, u hv to filter the fake ones bf put ur trigger.

Yes 5 or so important candles and a couple of patterns. Will be interesting to see how many are the same.

Mmmmh I can't see myself going this route, I prefer to see a good set up on 3 I watch (there usually is) and then use MM on that 1 trade that makes it worthwhile. If you're trading several correlated pairs then either you reduce each trade size or risk goes out of whack if trade goes wrong.

If this works for you great and I'm sure there are lots of people waiting for your posts.

The phantom 6 thread has, you guessed it, 6 correlated pairs it watches but on a different method. It might be interesting to see those 6 pairs up and how they react.

Keeping this quiet from Mrs V (founder member of the Don't change a thing on system Society) whilst I play around.

I totally agree about just a few candlesticks and patterns being important. I dumped MAs also because they are a distraction for me.

Yep I agree Dave at the stage I am in my trading I do watch five or six pairs, I have my favourite three or four that I trade but I mostly just trade one at a time.

That way I can cherry pick the best setups and hit them with confidence.

I can sort of understand the logic of spreading the risk across multiple pairs, maybe I will be able to do it sometime in the future.

Whatever works for each individual is all good.

Just had a 1 min lh sell 6133 about 35 mins ago taken out at BE. Lost internet connection just got back up. Was hoping for a move to 85 level but never followed through.

We are close to 62% fib on 2/11-4/11 range.

Nothing we/she could do with internet down.

Just pulled up daily again and 4hr. We potentially are still on a nice hl on 4hr with that fib around. The 15 Oct high should also come into play as supp level.

So we're thinking US should take us up, TWT.

Do you think you can add a little more info for this one? I'm interested because it doesn't seem to fit into your typical M1 trades, unless I'm looking at the wrong thing. It seems to have a larger stop than usual (unless you were placing it just above the LH signal and not the 50) and wasn't exactly a normal M1 trade even with the M15 BEOB and H1 shooting star. Just want to make sure I'm seeing the same thing and that I have a general feel for your reasoning. Lastly, I was just curious at what point you moved to BE. I can't help but wonder what the management was that allowed you to get to BE before the internet went out just given the way you usually manage these M1 trades.

If I recall 1hr nice shooting star, 15 min neg close and 1min ma cross next lh. Lost signal, when we came up we were so close to BE we left in hope we fell again. Being a 1 min trade we moved to BE at about +7, we were also worried we might have gotten in a little late.

Later went up for a snooze, doesn't look like I missed much.

NOTICE:10sma and 26sma crossing used for EXIT not for entry. If ur an aggressive trader and want to enter earlier, after 10sma and 26sma crossing, u should combine the candlesticks pattern with MAs for consideration.

For entry, it more replys on the 26sma's angle and its position with 60sma line. I'll give examples later tonight after mkt close.

srry, im quite busy tonight...will post pics later. Rule1: capital mkt is full of cycle of trend-sideway-trend-sideway. Rule 2:when there's a long candlestick breaks 26/60sma, it will always go back close to/maybe break 10sma.(the price tends to go back its S/R)

Mkt was ranging today from london session to US session. Most trading strategies and systems lost money in sideway mkt and take profits in good trend. Mkt is cycle of trend-range-trend-range. Not every ranging occurs in Asian mkt, eg this Sunday night(est). Traders lost money bcoz they over trade in sideway and change their direction frequently. Good traders know they should stay awasy such ranging mkt and wait for break out(unless they trade sideway on purpose). There r two ways of ranging mkt u can recognize with 3MAs and avoid trading.
