You know... I don't make these entries to hear my self talk... I do it in the hopes that you'll stretch your wings out and try to fly so to speak... try new stuff... consider new ideas... become a better trader and take these short cuts to learning we offer for your consideration....

This chart below is a Daily Chart... using this method (the 5) you can't tell me that you couldn't have traded it with great success. Use a 50-100 S/L because it's a Daily Chart. I have FXDD and they start their new day at 2pm Pacific time... so I check all Daily charts about that time to look for trades... this way you only have to check your charts once a day.... Trade it on your Demo Account first... Your broker will update and start the new day at a different time of day then mine in my time zone... Trading the 4 hour and daily charts is how you make 100's of pips per trade... or using the 21/233 method with multiple entries in any trade.

Here is what I see...you have shown multiple entrie types based on the same principle, with a few tweaks....now we have to take each and scroll back thru the charts using multiple timeframes and see them for ourselves....for me, as I said, this thread is the best that I have seen....I am particularly intrigued when I consider these setups on 1 hr charts......thanks again!

Thanks for all your sharing...look forward to practicing demo on set and forget on 4hr and checking back in morning. You said 50-100 stop loss on daily. What is max stop loss you would set for a 4hour chart if letting it run through the night.

OK... This is an unusual post/announcement here. I had a friend that was having major computer problems... one of which was it ran slower than a snail. He had ordered a disc from a company online. It fixes computer problems. Well he inserted it into his laptop, clicked a few selections and in a matter of a few minutes it fixed a gob of problems it found as well as his computer started runnin like a race car... I couldn't believe it. I finally got the info from him the other day and ordered it too. I installed it on 4 of my computers and zap it found all kinds of problems and fixed them as well as making it run... fast, fast, fast again. Now I run it once a week on my computers and you can tell an immediate improvement. It's about $57 which includes the download off the net as well as a CD. Ed... Usually use about a 50 pip S/L on the 4 hour chart if I'm away from the computer...

Last night I was reviewing one of Dean Malones videos (the creator of the TDI Indicator). He recommends only taking trades if:

Long Trade Entry: Green crossing above the 50 line, above yellow, above red.

Short trade Entry: Green crossing below the 50 line, below yellow, below red.

This is the safest rules for entry into a trade using the TDI. Go to your charts and look for these conditions....

It's hard to remember and apply general forex rules like...

Before you enter a trade on a certain pair... check to see what the average daily range is for that pair and how far it has already moved. If as an example the daily range is 100 pips and it's already moved 80 pips today... you might want to look for a different pair to trade. Little things like this will trip you up and increase your chances for a loss...

Thanks for sharing so many charts and trade styles, Big E. I wanted to suggest that if it would be possible, for you to make a video to "bring to life" these trade examples. I'm not sure if you have the software to record your screen with audio (there are several free options available), but it would might help us to see the way you approach your setups in a clearer way.

I am trying to understand the above. Are u saying that that in the abv case we should look for another pair and this will increase our probabilities for winning trade.

Hi All... I don't have the software or knowledge to make a video.

Novice 198... Lets say your trading in the London market times and the market opened 7 hours ago. Well if your trading the G/U as an example it may be getting close to it's average daily range... so any trades you take on it might go slow or you increase your risk if you hadn't checked the Average Daily Range first. It's just something as forex traders we need to be aware of when trading... if it's close to the ADR you might want to look for another pair to trade that has more opportunity... If this answer does not satisfy you... perhaps NeoRio can explain it to you in a different way...

Dave, short of Big E offering a full blown mentoring program it's unlikely you will ever be able to duplicate his results. This is not a reflection of Big E...As with ALL techniques that are shared on various forums there are so many nuances that prevent you from converting "forum shared" techniques into a mechanical system that you will be successful with.

There are other factors like money management, position sizing, etc... and just having a knack for reading the market that are perhaps more important then the entry itself though they are rarely ever discussed in enough detail.

It's also interesting that while this thread was launched to facilitate CH style trades I would be willing to bet that almost everyone here has probably moved on to something else...not that they haven't learned something here but they are unable to get consistent results trading this style exclusively.

I can say that I have learned something form Big E's (5 minutes trading) posts though I doubt I will ever be able to duplicate his success....perhaps we should chip in and buy him the tools for making the videos that was previously suggested.

I have great admiration for those traders that are consistently successful...hopefully one day I will join their ranks.

Dave, sorry for rambling on but hiding in a cave is not the answer. Unfortunately for us neither is lurking in these forums.

Hello Big E, great posts and charts. The TDI offers many other ways to use this indicator. Plotting tred lines from higher highs to lower highs with a break of that line with green over red ,along with showing divergance. I have included a chart to show how effective the TDI can help you with your trading.
