You can do it by call ALERT function each minutes (not every pip as it will consume all the resources) while a condition is still valid. Don't know anyway to show a stop button on screen so you can stop it. However you can turn a variable on or off through it properties (right click on indi).
How about every 10 seconds would that work.

Yes - you could do that.....but it is still tied to ticks....what calls the program is an incoming tick....but you could limit how often it would go off, so it wasn't going off on every single tick.....

the simplest is better volume 1.4. no hokus pokus there. if i'd kept an eye on that one, i would not miss the reversals at least, because the red bars make you cautious. i don't know the other ones, so they could be better. malc uses better volume 1.4, so...

Ok so now in order for the h/s to form completely the gap on the i hr 4hr usdx has to be filled...the time is when?

You can use PriceVolume code and call PlaySound function each 10 secs. Note that the indicators program will be called by MT4 each tick or at the opening of the new candle (depend on time frame)

i must have misinterpreted it.. candle was gone down... with a red bar... i figured it meant heavy volume was pushing it lower. but your telling me that i was wrong, correct?

that's the alternative to the shakeout. either it's stopping and reversing on a red bar, or the volume is pushing it through supply/demand. that's the problem with vsa, you know what it was when it's over. but using it as an additional tool it's handy. trading on it alone works, but you miss lots of pips because of exiting too early and so on.

the reason why i mentioned the reversal earlier was the fact that the volume rose on the way down, meaning it got heavier and heavier - and the daily pivot acting as support earlier when asia went nuts.
on the current breakout, volume is low! there are no sellers there.

in brief


-- up bars with excessive volume = weakness
-- down bars with excessive volume = strength
-- up bar with low volume means mark-down can begin (time to short)
-- down bar with low volume means mark-up can begin (go long)
-- down bars, narrow spread (diff between H & L), low vol = bullish
-- up bars, low vol, near resistance = bearish
-- wide spread, high vol, near trend line = expect trend line break
-- small spread, small vol, near trend line = expect trend line bounce

i use it for scalpin M15 M5 M1

u can use it on higher time frame when Malc called for long on first of august weekly chart

sounds constipated... im confused... i have tried it the past and now i see why i didn't get it. i thought it was a green or red light simple.

that's why everyone says, re-read master the markets a few times. it's written in an easy style and very well, but when it comes to the core, it's difficult enough.

i always mention that i would like to a have a good longer term entry for a position. that's when i try to look at daily or weekly volumes... i have to succeed yet to get it right. :-(
