No there is no change in EA attached to first post. This EA performs its basic functions very well.

Problem #2 if you use let's say 0.15 lot and you Set

profit=$20 EA calculates this as Profit * Lot size * 10 in this case

code and trying to find out if it's working, but AS I said, EA reaction

very slow It should close trades immediately ones PROFIT is hit..

Need to fix that All.. Anybody with MT4 coding experience who can

improve this EA.. IT needs to truck total price every pip or every 2 pips

of movement.. Ohh and Slippage is also playing a role.. It finally close the trades,

but instead of $20 profit is only $8 http://cdn.forexfactory.com/images/smilies/yim/sad.gif I think slippage should be addressed as well.

i use EURUSD BUY 1
USDCHF BUY 1
GBPUSD SELL 0.5

i don't put USDJPY on this basket, so far i did it manually

i think for every 10K, is good if we use 0.3 lot for eurusd and usdchf and 0.15 for gbpusd...

i will post my statement (demo account ) here

vikasone23 mentioned about time delay... IMHO new open position is at the begining of the new candle... H1 or H4.. up to you

and i use DAILY TREND of EURUSD as the TRIGGER TREND.... i use default macd at eurusd daily tf....

Dont get confused. Problem mentioned in above post is also faced by me. It is mainly because of high volatality in market.

Right now I can only assure u that existing EA is working fine with default settings but I am planning to make it more advance.

(Profit * Lotsize * 10) out of there, now it works fine, no matter

what your lot size is, profit should be whatever specified in Profit

property (field) in $$$ amount.

What I want personally since this is based on correlation. I want

EA be able to Average down. Let say, if pair moved 50 or whatever

pips against me, I want average that trade down, that way

won't have to wait hours for pairs to turn in profit..

P.S

Also for those who got Hedge available could be a good Idea to use Same Correlated pairs

but with different SELL/BUY order, need to add MagicNumber, so 8 pairs could be traded on the

same account.. While one set is losing another set will make money and vise versa..

And reaction of the EA pretty slow.. Hit target 3 times and never close the trades, taking too long to update/refresh..




Any programmers out there???

Interesting... Can you explain how will you avg down
and what if more than 1 pair goes against you...

Well, that's the problem, you have to find 4 perfectly balanced pairs

with high correlation.. But anyways, since no programmer here, I have

to figure out everything with my own resources..

We are back to a little over 5% DD.
This could take a long time to be in positive.

For this reason we do need to change something.
I am losing my patience...

I am glad that Sky is involved in this thread.

I wish I could help with the EA development,
but I am not a coder.

Thanks to all that are working on this method/EA.

i modified the EA to display the current profit, max profit and max DD on the chart. this is useful to know how much was the max drawdown for this run.

How were you closing trade baskets, % of balance, $ profit, number of pips?
How exactly did you use the macd to determine your trend to use?

thanks stevenali for posting your method. can you tell whats the max drawdown u experienced ? where do you take profit ? do you trail stops ? looks interesting. macd should be above 0 to go long on EU ?

i can't monitor the trade all the time because i do it manual, but if i see the trend is still go up i still hold my position

ussualy i close if the trade is 1% up from my equity... i don't have the rule for it until now...

there are the trade i left it for 2-3days, when i look at it... it already profit 14%.. so i close.. but this is only luck for me

IMHO 1% of equity is good for our target profit

sometimes i put 5 mini lot for EUrUSD and USDCHF and 2.5 mini lotfor GBPUSD if i am sure the price will go in our direction..

if i'am not so sure i only put 3 mini lot.... and maybe i can averaging it by open new basket if i see... for example... usdchf got minus 100pips... i hope for retracement

i put away the usdjpy.... so only 3 pair i trade for now...

in other demo account i put GOLD for hedging USDCHF,
the logic is... if GOLD STRONGER..so USD is weak.. it means USDCHF will go down
so it become BUY EURSD, BUY USDCHF, BUY SELL GBPUSD, and BUY GOLD

the composition is 1:1:0.5:0.5

it really depends for the DD, if i use 1 standard lot the bigest dd is around 10%

this is unsure position for me because eurusd is running high, maybe it will make a retracement.. so i only put 3 minilot

the reason i use half lot for gbpusd because gbpusd is more volatile and a sprinter...especialy when it goes south / short

and for my phsicology, if i use smaller lot.. i will more patience to hold the position even in lost or in profit

if we use 10K and get 3 transaction closed at $50... it will $150 a day

or $3000 a month.... 30% ROI isn't it

hope we can improve the system.... i mean IMPROVEMENT not make it COMPLICATED and SOPHISTICATED... lol

because i like SIMPLICITY IN TRADING
