Just wanted to pipe in about the Force. I have been trying to trade successfully on the 5 min chart for over two years. Not sure how I finally came across this thread but I guess I was finally ready.

I have created a couple good methods but nothing this good.

Every day I read more of the thread as I trade. I traded the basic version for a month and had over 40% gains. Not bad I thought. I started trading the advanced version on Sept 13 and have made +444 pips trading 4am to 9am pst

that is in only 7 days of trading... does this force work...uh, yep.

I am trading in a flux of the advance and expert versions (still can't trust self enough to get rid of those indi's, but I am learning more and more about PA.

So, if you are thinking of trying this. Do it exactly like it is taught. Use the basic version first then when ready go advanced. Also, read and study this thread as you go. It answers all the questions that came up for me.

I am not completely through the thread yet so if there are any of the original members still on board...I want to thank you all for your hard work and especially FJ. I too will pass this method on to my friends and my son to help them become the type of traders we all want to be.

Cannot claim that I have read the entire thread, just skipped or quickly went through a lot a pages, but have not seen any advanced or expert versions discussed. Could you perhaps direct me to the pages (may be at least approximately) where these versions are explained and demonstrated in charts?

If you are not doing the basic for a month or so, you will not be ready for advanced or expert. read all of jedi's and Robdee's posts is a most, absolute must!

I am actually trading this system (live not demo account) and I am doing OK - actually, it is quite straightforward. What I had in mind is I want to read abount the advanced/expert systems - may be these will help me be even more profitable.

Can't really remember exactly where they are I am on page 118 but I really recommend you start at beginning and work through it as you trade.

FJ did daily charts and trades when they were happening. The training is very good if you work through the thread. Because I still am writing down tips and seeing how they see the price action. By the time you are done you have no indicators on the charts. Just a couple trend lines.

I indeed have a question about trendline. Example if its a downtrend and we are waiting for the bounce to happen but it made a higher high, FJ mention we adjust the trendline to match the new high. The question bothering me is do I draw a new one and leave the old trendline there which "may" act as support or we just adjust from the old trendline?

I will leave the old one in till I consider it useless, or broken to no use. Or if I need to clean up my charts to get them less confusing. But also be watchful that the trend may be changing on you. (Higher highs and higher lows) "Trend is your friend till the end", then it becomes a fickle bit#h whose sole purpose is to chop you out.

Hi rufus thanks for showing me your chart,

so basically it is ok to have only top trendlines? coz in my mind i am thinking i need top and bottom trendlines so I can play the bounce.

so for your chart you basically wait for a bounce at the top trendline and you going to short it?

Yes....

But remember all the posts about pivots, fibs and such. You may be taking the bounce off that as well.

this is my chart I do it from 15min to 5min... its a big downtrend now...so if it bounce the top trendline and there is no lower trendline, I just look for PA reacting to the pivots support am I correct?

Yes..

Once you get your chart set up and you know what problem areas you are dealing with. For example "00" right now. Zoom in on it a bit so you can see your price action better. Don't hesitate to mark out the problem areas on your chart so when they start to approach you are aware of them.

Look to the left on your chart and see if there is any problems.

The heavy yellow lines show problem areas. You should be careful shorting into them.
