H-4 EURUSD with Andrew's pitchfork ... still in strong bullish mode ...
So our shorts are not a big deal ... it's countertrend ... atm ... but funny now ...

BTW ... weekly chart shows bullish DIV against MACD ... but I am shure you all have considered that facts too ...

It's all up to the EUR/USD rates and gold. Bottom line it's up to the Federal reserve and to any further QE. I don't believe that stocks can go any higher for now while the resistance 1.3940-ish holds.

AS long as Dollar continue to fall, Equity will continue to rise, regardless

of economic data. Period. If you look DOW in AUD I'm sure you will

find out that Equities was actually dropping and not rising, see my point?

Equities in a big diamond shape, downside risk... 10100.

I dunno, but if equities drop, i think EUR should drop?

I am adding shorts here again. Will quickly7 take small 20pips profit.

Point taken, although I'm seeing USDs decline loosing some steam while it seems equities have climbed disproportionately...seeing if an equities pullback is looming.

Usually the EUR would drop. But it might just bring about the case for more QE easing by the FED which would actually weaken the dollar. With the sentiment and the FED almost literally supporting the markets I feel like there is more of a rally left in the EUR until we finally see the fact of more QE and the markets become depressed that it is not enough. Right now the markets are rallying on the rumor, I think we would see huge dollar weakness of course if QE actually takes effect and becomes a fact, but I think that would finally be the opportunity for the USD to turn around after the fact.

Another way is if QE never occurs and the markets lose hope that the FED will step in.

Last way is if the Eurozone becomes a scary place again and we have more huge sovereign debt issues.

Today's POMO is over: at $2.069 billion, the operation was right in line with our expectations, coming in at a lofty 12.16 submitted to accepted ratio, as investors apparently are not too crazy about the yield perspective of the 4 2013 CUSIPs that were repruchased. However, what is far more important is that with holdings of $821.1 billion, the Fed is now officially the second largest holder of US Treasurys. Next up- China.
While the official breakdown will likely be a few weeks late in coming, here is the math:
Fed holdings as of September 30: $811,669
Add:

 

  1. POMO - September 30 (October 1 settlement): $2,200
  2. POMO - October 5: $5,190
  3. POMO - October 6: $2,069

Total: $821.128 Billion, which compares to Japan total $821.0 Billion as of July 2010

Thanks for responding with such detailed thorough breakdowns. I'm in agreement with you as I own physical gold as another investment on the side. Its been growing quite successfully. My immediate concern right about now is a major pullback all the way to $1280 ish before taking off charging passing new barriers. i.e $1400-1500. Remember what happened back in July 4 - Gold dropped over $40 dollars in a day then a slight raise then another withdrawal to $1156. I don't foresee that happening but then its the market which dictates direction not us, correct :-)

I'm just taking precaution to see where the next few weeks would lead us in commodities.....Hmmmmm......

Well if a 400-500 pip drop in EUR/USD happens, which seems like reasonable correction it could mean a 5-6% drop in US equities.

Ach so ... btw ... 1.3917/ 20 ... that has been our upside projection ... for some of those reasons that you mentioned there ... but we came to other conclusions ... we have said 200 ma in weekly that is our target to be hit at first ...

closed 50% of rest position from 1.39438 ... now and here at 1.3917 ... our beloved 200 ma from that weekly chart ... all dips seen as a buying or covering OP ...
