Backtesting does not work, because you cannot get historical data for the signals. It can only work on forward testing.

also it hit the next Resistance ...and it retrace from the the EMA very good
Sometimes, it happens to hit SL and immediately next candle, you will get another entry signal. You just go again and might be get lucky this time.

and there another qus

I have two accounts fxopen and altrade ....the problem is both gave diffrent signal i may got signal on altrade but not on fxopen

i dono why maybe due diff time in both servers ?
The official EA is the one I posted here as it applies the strategy in terms of TP and SL.

Unfortunately, until now it works only with 4 digit brokers.

Main difference:

(1) He is using daily timeframe while I use 4Hr timeframe.
(2) He depends only on Murrey while I depend on other indicators such as ADX and EMA(5,C) and EMA(6,O).

hmm im sorry what is the 4 digit brokers and 5 digit brokers

just a small explain

so is ALtrade works with the EA or FXopen?

To clarify it:

If 2.3 gives a signal then by default 2.2 will give the same signal. But, If 2.2 gives a signal, then not necessarily 2.3 will give this signal.

two signals triggered now ,v2.3 with ea ...

Now at 16:00 EST candle, I have the following:

EURUSD - LONG - TP = 1.3123 - SL: -30
NZDUSD - SHORT - TP = 0.7202 - SL = -30

Also, I am in already with past signal for USDJPY - LONG - TP = 85.94 (Now it is HOLD)

Let us see ...

I'm surprised you say this, as the point of running an EA through the strategy tester is to run it against past price data to see how the strategy would have fared. Of course, the results are not perfect, but if you have an equity line straight down to zero, you know you have a problem. Another warning sign is a lot of errors in the journal. In the case of this EA, it did not produce any results, but also no errors.

I have not written EAs, but I have modified EAs and have seen this kind of thing before where I have accidentally set the logic up so that it would be impossible to ever get a trade. (You can imagine how this could happen: Only sell when the price is over the 5EMA and below the 5EMA, for example. Obviously logic like this will result in no trades.) We know from your manual trading that there should be some trades being taken over an 7-month period, so it makes me wonder whether there is a logic issue in the conditions required for a buy or sell in the EA which is not right and which is therefore causing this situation where no trades are ever sent, but that there are also no errors.

Hi,

Yeah i know, you enhanced the 2.3.
But the problem I and a few other users are seeing is that we are not getting any signals on 2.3 and some other people are seeing signals.

For example today I got no signals on Euro/USD or USD/JPY.

But from posts here i take it that some people have.

I am not sure why this is (maybe broker).

Backtesting does not work with me too ,huge errors in the journal ...

as you can see my eur/usd is hold.

On this chart, what do i have to manually measure to see if it satisfies the distance ? is it the close of the previous bar (green hammer) with the blue line or with the red line ?

Anyway results are

Blue line = 16 pips
Red line = 38 pips

unless the problem is because my broker is using 5 digits and not 4 ? Because on the crosshair it read 160 pips ?
